Sunday was good. Kicked it off with a healthy breakfast; namely, Zach, a couple of buddies and I went to the Egg Platter for a drunk breakfast at 4AM and I had my usual...chocolate chip pancakes and fries. After a short nap, we woke up and hit the grind:Zach totally dominated in his first 400NL outing as well. We decided to make a big night of dinner and bar hopping. We hit a steakhouse that has huge steins of beer. I was pretty pumped about that for Zach's sake. He and his girlfriend saw the size of them and were like, "Is that all? That's how every beer is in Canada." Canadian shot glasses. After eating, we all realized that we're too old to stay out that late, so we came back to my place for some quality couch time. Zach's girlfriend went to sleep, so we were going to go play live poker. Zach said, "I'm going to lay down for 20 minutes and then we'll go." That was 4.5 hours ago. Here's the month:

I still have a copy of Acid's video on my computer, too.

Also, he might have found this thread. He was challenging me to 25-50NL. I said I wouldn't play him because he just hits and runs me after winning one pot. He responded:"boston s***** (Observer): or u and your boys cant put together the bankroll to play me on real stakes"He could've been referencing me, Matt and fake Zach who all sat with him in succession.
-
He told me he'd be back in 15 minutes for anyone who wants to play him. He taunted me for playing as low as 2-4 and told me he only plays low when he coaches. I tried to get action from him for a while, but he only ratholes me or refuses me action.

That would've been a lot cooler if Doyle bluffed successfully. I understand why Cardrunners would rather show their instructor picking off the bluff of a legend, but I wanted it to work.http://www.cardrunners.net/ for video sneak peak -
Okay, against this gentleman, he bought in for 300 after dropping about 400 to me earlier. We played an 800 dollar pot all in on the A74 flop where his A8 > A7. We played a 900 dollar pot where his QQ > A3hh after I raised his cbet in a 3bet pot and turned a straight + flush draw and shoved. We played an 1800 dollar pot where his QQ > 73dd on a 732 flop. At various points in this match, I was his TR best friend by a long shot. This is now my biggest profit hand, although it's only slightly bigger than my second biggest profit hand which was at 200NL, so BB-wise, it's not close.Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $4.00 BB (2 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.comHero (SB) ($1071.60)Button ($1361.55)Preflop: Hero is SB with K, KButton raises to $12, Hero raises to $44, Button calls $32Flop: ($88) 7, 4, 3(2 players)Hero bets $51, Button calls $51Turn: ($190) Q(2 players)Hero checks, Button bets $133, Hero raises to $345, Button calls $212River: ($880) 5(2 players)Hero bets $631.60 (All-In), Button calls $631.60Total pot: $2143.20 | Rake: $0.50Results:Button had Q, A (one pair, Queens).Hero had K, K (one pair, Kings).Outcome: Hero won $2142.70This is the graph of my opponent for the night. Agreed. Not only that, if you have a small sample size, you can use incomplete stats to come to faulty conclusions. "OMG HE 3BETS ME 50% OF THE TIME, 4BET BLUFF!" Meanwhile, you've played eight hands and he's 3bet you twice (but folded QQ once to your standard open because he's just that nitty). That's why I play HUDless (although, it's actually because I'm too lazy to open Windows). That said, it certainly doesn't hurt to have access to stats on your HUD, even if you don't need them since you have plenty of room on the table with only two players.Tbh if you're playing $50nl I don't think you need half as many stats as that. Not because it's easier, but because the player pool is so huge that you never get enough hands with people to make the rarer stats mean anything. -
I play on my Mac laptop, so I don't use a HUD. This is how my buddy's HUD is set up for HU play:The red stats are ones that we thought were especially important. The blue ones are all for 3bet pots.Just a nice and quick Q:What HUD stats. do people use for HU?I mean I'm use to 6m stats. and what they represent but am lost when trying to do this for HU or configure my HUD.Cheers :)Ftr,I know to pay mroe attention the player than stats, but are there some useful stats. I could utilise? -
A full week of drinking, grinding and getting Zach banned from local card rooms. This was...unpleasant:I'm going down to Tampa to hang out with Naismith for a week.Wish me luck. -

Before everyone gets all excited about Luke's apartment...you wouldn't relocate to the Gaza Strip because they had brand new homes for cheap. Gainesville's a little worse than that. Also, hard to avoid the obnoxious Gator fans there.Unrelated to that, I challenge Cobalt (or anyone) to HU4ROLLZ Crazy Pineapple style.

I suck at poker.

Wow, if you think about it, he really has no confidence in himself since he was your teacher and mentor. That says a lot about his coaching.I still need to win 2 more matches to make $$ in this tournament, so let's not get ahead of ourselves. Also, Jordan has no confidence in my abilities as he wouldn't swap 5% with me. Even after we both beat 2 opponents. -
Yeah, I didn't think you were particularly rude or anything. I just think Steve gets a bad rap for pretty harmless stuff and wanted to say something in support as someone who has never met him or taken any of his training. That's fine. I respect both of your opinions as much as anyone on this forum, and if I'm wrong, I'm wrong. Just putting out there how it came across to me. -
I guess I'm brainless, because I think Steve has come across fine in this thread.I've had just the right amount of liquor to be able to post something super coherently and also say exactly what's on my mind, but out of respect to a ton of people that have gone through your training that I respect and swear by you, I'll keep it as civil as possible. You're clearly intelligent. It is impossible for someone as intelligent as you to not realize why you come off as arrogant in posts like this.blah blah blah it's the internet, blah blah blah he was joking. You have shown no attempt to address any of the issues in all your other threads, despite all your "great feedback" or "good point" or "thanks, i'll take that into consideration" nonsense...and instead, after dissapearing for a few weeks, make a new thread shilling your product, and then post "jokes" like this in the exact same thread. It's pretty obvious to anyone with a brain how you really feel. Good luck. -
OKAY I ADMIT IT I STOLE THE GRAPH OF MATT'S LAST 8 HANDS AND PRETENDED LIKE IT WAS MINE!This is my real day:
-
How so? Mine goes up, straight to the right and then up. The end of your graph looks like a lie detector test or those things that determine the earthquake number.Funny Jay, the end of your graph looks strikingly similar to the end of mine.Any thoughts on this? -
I'm just going to call it a day.

Last February, I had my worst month of the year. I haven't gotten a ton of hands in, but off to a good start.

LOL. I was a break even player at showdown last year. I thought I made some adjustments to increase my showdown winnings, although I didn't really care enough to check. I just looked at it earlier today for the first time.[ ] Adjustments worked.
