  1. Your 3bet size is too small. Go to 10 or 11.Checking the flop is fine. I'd check-raise the turn if my opponent isn't overly aggro because most people aren't firing three barrels with an ace in a 3bet pot. If my opponent is super-aggro, I would take the same line. Either way, you're not folding this hand on any street, even if you didn't hit two pair (without a superdupersuper read).

  2. Make it 220-240 on the turn. A tight/passive player just donked into you when the board paired. If he's playing out of character with a straight draw or whatever, he's likely shutting down anyway. If he's as passive as you say, he likely won't bet an ace or queen on the river. Make it 240 and then put him in for a less than half pot bet on the river.

  3. I called the $1 to see if the button was going to raise. With me being OOP I was scared of making a stab here, with having 2 more behind. Is this a flawed thought? If the turn came with say 2/3/4/7/8 or even a 9 and none of them were clubs, and SB checks or makes another small bet, then I was planning on making a bigger bet/raise here. When the club came I did not see trying to do anything, because something like AK clubs (which possible range for calling 3-bet flop, but then again I let everyone in too cheap) just locked it up, and I did not want to spew any more $$$.I understand that I was too cheap pre-flop, but lets pretend that I did make it $6, and the same results came. Was my "battle plan" decent sounding, or is this just a complete idiotic thought process??
Define "making a stab". Why would you raise the turn with the cards you listed?
  4. ...I called trying to see what the button would do. If he called, or folded, then If the turn looked better then I was going to try to make a move. Second mistake. Should have raised to like $5-$7?? Make a stand here and if I get called or raised just give up??...should have made a stand at the flop. (yes?)
Okay, you reference making a move/making a stand on the flop or turn. What exactly are you referring to?
  5. Also, if you didnt know who this kid was before yesterday than you must not play poker. Hes a nose bleed legend.
I don't know, man, I play a considerable amount of poker. And it's not like I'm oblivious to the online studs. I've just never heard of him. That certainly doesn't diminish his ability to play the game or anything.
  6. Initially yes, but when I offered my thinking, instead of embracing it he simply disregarded it, in what I thought was a rude manor.Im guessing he wouldnt do the same to my face. Which is sad. :club:
The fact that your feelings were hurt doesn't change that you're getting free advice from a really, really, really good poker player.
