I think I like a mis-click fold preflop here...
-
thats a great question. let me think about that one.why would he take a free card holding the nuts on the turn? -
I like the flop bet and if you don't take the free card on the turn I like a full pot bet more than the 2/3 pot bet.As played I don't fold the river. Just call and say whatever. On preflop, don't let these players limp UTG on your button. Raise them!

I kinda want to pot every street here in attempt to get my whole stack in by the river. He could just as easily have a lone suited ace with small cards. Like A876 or something. If he is tricky enough to never bet a full house himself then good for villian, he should be playing higher......against a nit because who else could it be?Villain's been very nitty, almost checked river back...do we like a smallish value bet or are we only called by better FHs? I'm also blocking AK kinda...but also AJI just don't know...NLHE WHERE ARE YOU?Full Tilt Pot-Limit Omaha, $0.02 BB (5 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.comBB ($1.63)UTG ($2.36)Hero (MP) ($2.19)Button ($3.17)SB ($4.75)Preflop: Hero is MP with J , J , K , 5 1 fold, Hero bets $0.07, 1 fold, SB calls $0.06, BB calls $0.05Flop: ($0.21) J , A , A (3 players)SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $0.14, SB calls $0.14, 1 foldTurn: ($0.49) 9 (2 players)SB checks, Hero bets $0.30, SB calls $0.30River: ($1.09) Q (2 players)SB checks, Hero bets $0.56 -

The pot has $3.15 in it when the action gets back to us. A re-raise here should be between 5-6. But since that would be more than 50% of our stack and that sizing essentially turns our hand face up, a shove is best.4bet here to $3.50 and once it gets to the flop crack shove all in no matter what the flop is. It really depends if you want a lot of money or not much. Shoving will probably get you $2.50 which is the pot because that's just WAY too much to call unless they have KK-JJ. You might get a call from the button but it looks like he's going in regardless with his unloaded stack. Try to keep the others in and if you get even one more that's a bonus. Then once again, regardless of the flop, they'll have to get lucky to beat you. -
Remind me to post my lifetime PLO graph some time. It's not pretty.the lowest point in my overall poker career:it was not, losing in HU Stud against my brother, who follows the monkey strategy of bet when the action's on him, regardless of texturegoing full speed ahead on razz (as everyone does at one point) in a HORSE tournament, realizing on 7th that I was playing stud hi, and I just wish I could open foldlosing 3 straight (not finishing in the money) NLHE SNGs to my relatives whose knowledge of poker, like my brother's, is limited to what's written on the Ace of Spades,it was, going broke at 6max 5plo. Granted I only had like $27 remaining online, so it's not as if I had much room to work with, but I'm putting this at the top. Had auto rebuy on and I noticed my stack would fill only to like $4.67. bustoI crown myself the forum's PLO Donk. Don't think in this past month I caught one bluff, made one successful nonnut value bet, and got paid on one nut hand. And this is 5plo so you know I must be doing all sorts of things wrong. Lost my last BI w/probably my only defensible hand of the whole run, limp/reraising AAxx and losing to rando clubs. -
I don't hate a 3 bet on the button preflop.***Turn play has been beaten to death, but what about the flop action? BB checks, could be anything. MP Cbets, CO Raises, and we flat with 2 people behind? Our relative position here is reallllly bad. Say the BB then CRs, MP folds, CO flats... Do we call again?Even though we are on the button, our position feels weird with this type of hand not closing the action on the flop.PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (6 handed) - Poker-Stars Hand Converter from HandHistoryConverter.comCO ($12.70)Hero (Button) ($10)SB ($3.40)BB ($5.65)UTG ($8.45)MP ($6.65)Preflop: Hero is Button with K, 101 fold, MP bets $0.20, CO calls $0.20, Hero calls $0.20, 1 fold, BB calls $0.10Flop: ($0.85) 8, 3, 9(4 players)BB checks, MP bets $0.30, CO raises to $1.10, Hero calls $1.10... -
Thanks for posting this.I'm in the middle of reading this right now, and thought it's pretty interesting.http://www.pokersavvy.com/plus-articles/th...-while-to-learnEdit: Article by the way. Not Artile. -
in 6 max i'll throw away crappy QQxx UTG, but dont think i ever throw away crappy KKxx first in.i'll also probably raise limpers with most KKxx and 3 bet MP or CO opens with most KKxx.in general, should i be throwing away KKxx where xx are not suited or connected like KK37 no suits?i figured the hand basically sucks unless we hit a K, so ive been ditching it (except like LP with a few limpers sometimes)then i came across something last night that said to basically never fold AAxx or KKxx -
multipass?hi -
I wouldnt call myself a nit (just bad). But I find myself in situations, usually OOP, where I have the best hand but a terrible redraw and I play it super slow.In other cases, I'll have like a weak pair and a flush draw, against suspected AAxx and I go absolutely bat shit crazy and get it in.PLO nits are so weirdthey won't raise on the turn or river w/the second nuts, but they'll go absolutely berserk when holding AAxx irrespective of board. it's like they categorize poker hands like this,AARoyal/SFQuadsFH... -
My position is horrible for this 3 bet pre. I would obv much rather be in the CO or button for this. But when they both fold behind me i'm thrilled. Now the SB should fold 100% of the time unless he has an absolute monster, QJT9 double suited or something. He should even fold KKxx. He calls. At this point the BB should now call to have position on the horrible player in the SB.Now the problem for me becomes the UTG can fire a huge pot committing raise and his hand is super obvious. But I cant fold now with all that dead money in the pot. So ship and pray. Now imagine if the SB and BB had folded (like they should have). When the UTG re-pops, I just call and play postflop. UTG should have AAxx a great percentage of the time and is playing his hand face up. If I flop bottom pair I'm trying to get all the money in on the flop. He either folds. Or I suck out.

Any read on the BB. Do you think we was capable of raising a run-down type hand preflop? If not he has to have exactly AAQJ. Do you play a lot with this player? Do you play a crap load of hands. If some of these are "yes" i would call for information on the end.

I don't play FR, but is this a standard 3 bet here after an early limp and HJ raise?PokerStars Pot-Limit Omaha, $0.25 BB (9 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.comMP3 ($25)Hero (CO) ($24.65)Button ($23.20)SB ($25)BB ($6.70)UTG ($22.35)UTG+1 ($54.50)MP1 ($9.20)MP2 ($25)Preflop: Hero is CO with J, A, Q, Q1 fold, UTG+1 calls $0.25, 2 folds, MP3 bets $1.10, Hero raises to $3.90, -
I like the pre-flop re-raise with the double suited aces.Check fold flop. Your cards are blue and green while the flop is red and black.
