  1. In all fairness, I didn't watch much of the show, just enough of The Who's performance to get depressed. The who wrote some great songs, so I'm sure covers of them by animate non-corpses could potentially be good.
Shouldn't be depressing, The Who is one of the greatest bands of all time and seeing them giving a damn good show in their 60s is amazing.
  2. I have the Bose headphones that are $150 and I think they are great, though they have some problems. They are extremely comfortable, though they can make your ears hot if you wear them long enough. However, I have recently been wearing those headphones that go around the back of your head cuz I'm not supposed to wear the Bose pair at work, and after an hour of wearing them, my ears hurt. The Bose never make my ears hurt, even if they make them hot. Also, they are very loud. You can put your ipod on full volume and just put the Bose headphones down and it is like having a speaker. One major complaint with the $150 ones: I have had like 5 pairs and they have all broken. After about a year, one of the ear's wires starts to come out and then the volume doesn't work in one ear. But with the $300 pair, they are probably built better and have better warranties. Also, about traveling a lot on airplanes...these headphones are great because they are loud. They don't block out the noise of the plane when you just wear them, but when you start listening to music, you can hear the music as easily as if you weren't on a plane.
Yeah, you pretty much hit that right on the nose. I originally had the $150 ones, same sound but don't noise cancel and aren't as comfortable. Also the band on the top is flimsy and broke on me very fast. The $300 QC2s are the way to go. The band is built sturdier and the earphones fold and fit in a case they give you. Also I find the $300 ones more comfortable than the $150 pair and the new on-ear $350 version.
I have a pair and i think they are great. The bass isnt as deep as other phones but the all around sound is alot cleaner and crisper then and sony headphones i've had. They do get hot if you were them for a long time like showstopper said. But I love mine.
I agree, I notice the bass isn't anything special but the stereo and treble is the best I've ever heard. Listening to bands like Pink Floyd, you hear stuff you would never hear with regular headphones or thru speakers. To the OP: get the $300 Quiet Comfort 2s and you shouldn't get disappointed. I've had them for like 3 years and still in good shape and haven't broken.
  3. In college if you have a prescription, you make a decent buck. People will pay up to $5 for 1 pill. So generally the kids with prescriptions will use 1/3 of it for themselves then just sell the rest. I've used the fasting acting and the time release before an exam, during finals week and for marathon drinking sessions and it does work wonders. Haven't played poker on it, but imagine it would work wonders. How hard is it to get a prescription? And does anyone else crave tobacco when they're on it?

  4. Villian is 18/13/3 over a decent sample
I figured this is the best thread for fast and good answers. I finally got PokerAce HUD last night. Can anybody explain what the 3 numbers are and give me a range of where I should be for all 3 categories. Any other advice for fully optimizing PokerAce would be great.
  5. Bounces can always be swatted imo.Anyone (still in college or recently out) notice the new fad of re-racking whenever you want, two per game?People have made up the following:1. Sword: Basically a diamond w/ a cup in front of it. One of my favorites.2. Bozo: 3-4 cups lined up in a row like that game on the Bozo show (or whatever the hell it was called)3. House: 2 rows of cups side to side, and one cup in front, acting as the 'peak' of the house.I really take beer-pong too seriously imo.
Beer pong and bags is life at my fraternity house. Sword, bozo buckets and 3-2-1 are pretty common. You're also forgetting the diamond (4 cups), vertical rhombus +1 (strong right or strong left) and six pack (2 rows of 3 cups or dual bozos).Oh and I once won 31 games in a row with only 2 different partners on a 3 day weekend drinking binge. <obv brag post>
  6. Many!Off the top of my head, Dazed and Confused, No Quarter, Trampled Under Foot, Black Dog, How Many More Times, Communication Breakdown, The Song Remains the SameFor some somewhat obscure LZ trivia though: what was the first #1 hit Jimmy Page played on?
Some more Zep goodies are, The Ocean, In the Evening, Houses of the Holy, Whole Lotta Love, Heartbreaker, Ramble On, Misty Mountain Hop, and my personal fav Over the Hills and Far Away.Stairway is a great song but I can easily rate 5-10 LZ songs better.
  7. 4. Allocated values of player points redeemed. I believe it is about .15 per point.
If you use your points in the store, if you play freerolls, if you unlock a bonus, etc.
wow FTP sucks, if it's .15 per pt. A 4,000 pt hat would cost me $600. Thats outrageous.
  8. The title is "Best Verse" but most seem to be complete lyrics, so I'll bold the verse! So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell, Blue skys from pain. Can you tell a green field From a cold steel rail? A smile from a veil? Do you think you can tell? And did they get you to trade Your heros for ghosts? Hot ashes for trees? Hot air for a cool breeze? Cold comfort for change? And did you exchange A walk on part in the war For a lead role in a cage? How I wish, how I wish you were here. We're just two lost souls Swimming in a fish bowl, Year after year, Running over the same old ground. What have we found? The same old fears. Wish you were here. (Third verse would have been better except for the mixed metaphor!)
    Amazing song.
  9. So I finally got rakeback on Full Tilt over the weekend. Got a few questions about how deductions and stuff work. I signed up through rakebreak and the email they sent me regarding my negative balance says...Thank you for contacting Rakebreak.I checked your account and it seems that you are not aware of possible deductions that might be affecting your MGR balance. Please note that FTP deducts fees from your MGR, such as:1. Deposit Bonuses.2. Deposit Fees (usually about 3%)3. Allocated values of freerolls you are eligible for. If you don't play in the freerolls, please email their support and tell them to remove you from the eligibility list so that you will not be charged for this rakeback offset any longer.4. Allocated values of player points redeemed. I believe it is about .15 per point.I hope this helps explain why you have or could have an FTP rake amount that is lower than you anticipated. In order for you to start seeing new information in your balance we recommend you to keep playing at the tables and participate in tournaments. So yea can anyone explain to me why my Net poker rev is -$7.25 and my balance for June is -$1.96? And what exactly are the policies with bonuses/players pts.

  11. Saw this today. It was terrible. It had none of the 'human interest' stuff from the first one and none of the smashing that The Hulk represents. It also had the worst ending ever.
I really liked the ending and what it suggests/leaves open for the next film. And yes if you haven't seen American History X, def atleast rent it. Norton gives an amazing performance and the movie is one of my all time favs.On a side note, there has always been something I have always been confused about regarding Edward Norton. Everyone knows how huge he was in American History X. That movie was released in 1998, just a few months after Rounders. It's really confusing seeing him soo skinny in Rounders and a year later (1999) in Fight Club. Anybody else ever wonder that? I believe American History X was filmed after Rounders, but ya he got absolutely jacked for American History X after being a naturally skinny guy then goes back to a skinny dude again in Fight Club. Kinda strange he didn't keep his build up at all for that movie.
