    Yeah, I guess. I mean, the job's great and I love animal doctoring, but it still means I have to, you know, work. Haven't killed anything yet, but haven't really saved anything either. Well, I saved one thing, but it was euthanized later on, so I don't know if that really counts.

     

    You? Still doing whatever it is you do wherever it is you do it?

     

    Edit: Also, I'm trying out Orange is the New Black. Two episodes in, not sure what I think yet. Also I may need to get Showtime for a bit to watch the last season of Dexter, which I'm guessing will suck but at this point I have no choice. Also I'm thinking I should find a way to start watching Game of Thrones from the beginning.

    My buddy is married, has two kids and has to wear condoms to fck his wife. That seems awful. Wouldn't a pull out be better there?

    should be common knowledge, even if you never talk about these things with your partner. even just occasionally having laundry duty... you know, I'm not sure I want to talk about this anymore.

    but I mean you pull out because she isn't on the pill. if you're sure that your swimmers aren't good then don't pull out. if you think there's a chance they can make it then she should be on the pill so you don't have to pull out. jesus, I can't even believe this discussion is happening. there's nobody else that thinks pulling out feels the same, right? ron I just don't know about you sometimes.

    Pretty sure you could follow any of Ron's posts over the past howevermany years with that and be ok.

    I think you're overthinking this. After the deed is done the gal goes to take a pee anyway, wipes up and is done with it. Did you not go to biology class? The woman body is designed to absorb the seed.

    I dont wear rubbers, as it should be in a long term monogamous relationship. She isnt on the pill and the chance of her getting prego are slimmish. So why take the chance? Pull out.

     

    Also, I like my face down there so I dont want to be continually making deposits. Wiping up with a towel seems like less work than the alternative. What is even the procedure? Squatting? Ice cream scooper? Pushing? Douche all the time?

     

    Just never appealed to me and none of the ladies instructed me otherwise. Hmmmm. Where's fraut when we need her?

    You kind of have to. If you choose not to, it's not like a reasonable adult is going to choose to get cut. By doing nothing, you're not leaving the door open as much as being 99% sure you're making that final decision.

    Most interesting thing/person/cat so far? You know, like the old lady who made her cat sick by feeding it too much herring, or yuppie who tried to turn his cat into a vegetarian?

     

    Nothing interesting enough as of yet for me to want to write and you all to want to read.

     

    I'm rooting pretty hard for the Spurs because I hate the Heat. I've always been a Lebron defender/admirer, but he does a lot of stuff that I hate. Like flopping all the time.

     

    I agree that he's a flopper, but I also think that he gets hammered so much because he's such a big dude (for what he can do with the ball) that I'm not surprised he started trying to overplay how much the contact affects him. It's like when defenders were getting away with basically mugging Shaq.

     

    speedz, I haven't found another job yet, but I finally crossed the mental threshold where I have accepted that this place isn't going to recognize and properly reward the value I bring. so I'm just job searching to get a sense of whether people are going to be willing to hire me based on my experience. applied to a bunch of stuff last night, felt great about my qualifications.

     

    I was going to respond, but am currently distracted by the last 10 minutes of "Fighting". I've never seen the movie, but I seem to have flipped to the channel right before the final fight...I assume they're about to fight anyway. It's like Lionheart, but way worse. And with Channing Tatum, who I happen to think is a good dude, and pretty funny. Not sure if he can fight though.

     

    The spots we're making today are ones that I wrote, and I get to direct the voice actors who are being recorded in LA (while I'm in Detroit).

    Yes, please. Though I guess there's not much to say other than it looks amazing and I can't wait to see it.

    That game last night was incredible. There were a hundred different little things that could've changed the outcome of the game.

     

    Mhm. That Bosh rebound and kick to Allen was insane. I was very much on the Bosh bandwagon (he had that block as well) until the non-call foul. I can't believe his stupidity was rewarded. How the shit do you bump a guy taking a sideways fallaway three like that?

     

    I'm torn, because I want both teams to win. I love the way the Spurs play and their personalities in general, but for years I've thought LJ has been even better than he generally gets credit for (if that's possible), and I'd like him to add more titles to the resume.

     

    I feel like I've already quit this job. feels good, man.

    I hope you do, too. You certainly do. For all my constant complaining I'm probably doing alright. And I'm getting to be pretty good friends with the bosses son/daughter/her boyfriend. And not because of any diabolical scheme but because I spend 95% of my day with them and they're all cool people and they don't constantly make jokes at my expense.

     

    That's a nice spot to be in.

    So I haven't been not here just because I'm now working and way too important for such things. My computer kept telling me for days (not anymore) that the forum was dangerous and carrying malware and the like. Anyone else have that problem?

     

    Anyway, being an animal doctor is fun so far. A little terrifying, but I'm finding that the other doctors where I work are pretty understanding about me asking a ton of questions. Most of it isn't medical related, more administrative junk, but I get lots of opinions on medical stuff too, solicited or not. It's occasionally awkward to figure out a way to say that certain things aren't "old school" as much they're "bad medicine". But there's very little of that at my place, which is nice.

    Well, 10 is better than less than 10. All are fine, thanks. Finally almost completely moved in, 2 weeks later. And I really don't want to start work on Monday...I'm not ready to give up on my 6 years of not being a working human.

     

    someone was talking about me needing to work OT to support having a girlfriend someday. I used the "want a friend? get a dog" line. she said, "girlfriends offer more than just companionship" and I'm like "pets aren't limited to companionship...." and then closed with "it could be considered being thrifty." and then people stopped talking to me.

     

    People are the worst.

     

    I'm not sure I'm ready to let her let me enter her.

    I was never a fix it guy or an outdoors guy. So, yeah, I never really learned any of that crap.

     

    I'm constantly annoyed by the fact that I missed that crucial window...probably 5-15 years old...that allows someone to feel really comfortable fixing or building pretty much anything. I try my best, but it's a grind for me to figure shit out. Got a new cordless drill for the move, which was nice. But that's the most complicated tool I can use. Unless you count a LASER used to cut tissue during surgery. So I've got that going for me, which is nice.

    and omgomgomgomg... just got a call from my mom. apparently my uncle was in debt up to his eyeballs. now his wife is flat broke and has to pretty much sell everything (really shitty situation actually). this means this whole land buying thing is escalating rapidly. oh boy, I might own this whole thing very soon.. so exciting. wish I had a good enough job to afford it. but oh well, we'll figure that out as we go.

     

    I have this strange feeling that shake will get all the land, in a few years they'll find a huge natural resource pocket underneath it, he'll get filthy rich, and then he'll lose it all in the divorce from this chick and her kid. I guess it's not a strange feeling as much as an odd fantasy.

     

    he just needs some kind of land bridge to bring it all together
