  1. In 1 of Daniel's articles he listed a historical quote said by someone famous. I think it was a president or other historical figure. I can't remember the quote or the article for which it was listed in. Can someone help me out please?

  3. Thanks for all the replies.I checked out health insurance and I can keep the current benefits I already have. I just have to pay $450 a month.Without a doubt I have to start keeping records/stats. I am confident in my poker ability, but I agree stats is very important. Important for the tax man as well as seeing how well I actually do :)Yes I am scared to make this leap. With all new life changes comes nervousness. I do not think it will be hard for me to get another job if worse came to worse. Right now I think the most important thing for me is getting a degree which I regret never do
  4. I play mostly limit omaha hi/lo.I have been a consistant winner for years. With that said I am still very scared of this big move.I never kept records. I am unsure of my hourly rate at say 10/20. I just know that I win more than I lose. I took a risk and played 75/150 for a while now and came ahead about $50k. I am banking this money now though. I do not want to risk losing it at 75/150 or higher so I will take $6k and play 10/20 or so.
  5. Hi, I've been a long time lurker and have just registered.I recently won about $50,000 playing 75/150 ohl. I have a decent paying job, but I absolutly hate it. I decided to quit my job. My plan is to go back to school and play poker to make ends meet. I have a condo mortgage and car payments. My credit cards are all paid off. I do not have a wife or kids. I am planning to keep about $50,000 in my savings/checking account and $6,000 online for poker. Do you think it is a bad idea for me to live like this? I will play 10/20 limit and tournies online. Do you think it will be too hard to
