  1. Here's the issue, if all that had happened is somebody gave a bit to some players and had some fun there wouldn't be a problem.Next we have somebody wanting to stake players and share in their results and we're going to have players starting threads begging next. How about we try this. You can start a thread and give people something as long as you don't ask for anything in return such as a share of their results and anybody who starts a thread asking to be staked will have one driven through their heart.
    someone give bob a raise!!excellent
  2. He didn't flip his cards, he just mucked, thats really the question should I let him know about the fact I knew his cards and that he shoulda chopped..
Holy crap you missed an amazing opportunity. As soon as his hand hit the muck you should have turned yours up. Just to really get him.nice hand
  3. Lots of forums have a feature that converts ALL CAPS posts to this format, so people can't yell like idiots.EDIT:But he typed "WIth", so nevermind.
Hey what's up fatburger. I am hitting up the $1-$2 nl game at spirit mountain this Friday night. Are you playing this weekend?By the way, my buddy who is hosting our new league was in a car accident and so we had to postpone the league start date by 1-2 months. I will keep you posted.I hate PM'sTo keep this on target,I played in a bar game where the structure was the TD could raise blinds whenever he wanted to whatever he wanted to keep the game moving so it didn't last too long.
  4. I agree with Theresa 100%. Thank you for being a voice of reason here. I find it hilarious that 99% of the people complaining to Harry are noobies or people who can't even take the time to create a profile. They just think it is fun to talk crap to a pro. You can find the same people on FTP railing a game and talking crap the entire time.GO AWAYHarry. I agree. It is important to be accountable. WSOP is no exception. If holes are not exposed than they will be exploited next year. Theresa brings up a great point about chip dumping. THIS HAPPENS. If you don't believe it than you are living in a dream world. Keep it up Harry.

  5. Fat burger that was very considerate of you to post the amuzing picture. Man he sucks at making pancakes. He is clearly flipping them to fast. There is so much batter splattered around it looks like a cheap porn set for a ron jeremy movie shortly after the money shot.Wow. Here is a thought to help you get that one out of your head.kathie leibert and greg ramer, 107 degree's no AC monkey love.enjoy

  6. i don't understand why so many people have trouble fathoming ordering the PPV. I would much rather watch the players, and hand by hand action (even lack there-of) and listen to some analysis, then stare at the pokerwire screen and read about it. $25 is not much money at all, and above all, i think will be extremely interesting to see the table momentum and what-not.
I hope you understood my first response was sarcastic. I thought that was pretty clear.
  7. I know the correct answer has been posted a ton already but a real easy way to remember is simply this:Where you deal the cards first has NOTHING to do with where the blinds are. So it will NEVER change. Now the blinds get a little screwy heads up (dealer gets small blind and acts first pre flop and last post flop). But the way the cards are dealt NEVER changes.

  8. Would you little trolls please stop making so many god damn WPT Lawsuit threads? There is no need for it, half of the posts have already been posted a couple hundred times and there is no reason the other posts cant be added to the post already going.Getting the stupid joke acounts to stop starting threads would probably help tooI know one of you is going to flame me and say I dont need to start a thread for this. Well, it needs to be said, the forum has turned in to complete trash lately.
come on sirch1. you have to admit you just started a thread that has been started at least 5 other times in the last 24 hours.
  9. There is one thing I do not understand about this lawsuit. The seven constantly compare poker to the NFL, NBA, etc. However, while the players in these leauges sign contracts to play for the leauge and a specific team, poker players are not required to play in a specific tournament or even play for the WPT, WSOP, EPT, etc. There participation is optional, while if a player refuses to take the field he most likely will be cut and therefore not paid. Phil Gordon says that he has the same team of lawyers which helped develop free agency. I believe however that these two issues are not related. These players cannot be traded, forced to switch teams, or be cut. Their participation in any tournament is optional no one requires them to do anything. I also believe tho, that this entire lawsuit is being blown out of proportion, but it is necessary for players to stand up for what they believe...i guess.
welcome to the forums. Please do not take offense to my next comment.Holy crap I have never seen a topic bring more nOObs out of hiding before in my life!!On another note, I highly doubt the 7 are simply bored and needed something to do. I think they genuinly believe they are helping others out. For that I commend them. However, the timing is wrong. It almost seems like the timing was simply to call attention to themselves. Maybe Andy wants to sell more bobbleheads. Who knows. But seriously, if what Lyle (God bless Lyle) says is true why the hell would he not just simply change the damn language in the contract. That is not a tough thing to do. Especially when he admits they will never need to do what the contract would allow. The WPT is losing enough money, why is this so important that they will dump several houndred thousand in legal fees just to keep the existing one. It seems there is way more to this than we can know right now.IMO this wreaks of a pending sale of WPT. I know you are thinking that if they were pending a sale then they would want this to go away. To that I say maybe they need the contracts to stay the same for a reason.Who knows. But I am serious in that I feel this is bad for poker right now simply because of their affiliation with online sites.
  10. It annoys me to no end that Gordon, Bloch, and co. contuniously use that, "How would you feel if they made a bobblehead with your image on it and didn't pay you!" Right, first of all because selling Bloch bobbleheads would earn the company millions and millions of dollars :club: The WPT has done NOTHING like that... ever! They have NEVER used a players name and likeness inappropriately to sell products. Not once. There is no "smoking gun." These players overvalue their self worth to the WPT in a big way. The WPT doesn't need them one bit frankly. If they never played in another WPT event I don't think the WPT would suffer one bit.
Daniel, didn't you mention once in your blog that there was 1 time they used I think your likeness and Jesus' likeness in a banner add or something but than quickly took it down when requested? It was nice of them to take it down but I think the point is more the fact that they didn't have to. Phil made 1 good point, current management may not plan on doing it, but future managment might give them the big FU.Now I personally don't give a rats arse about who is right or wrong but the timing is pitiful.
