  1. yes, dn sucks so dont come back here....go to neverwinpoker.comthey have bonifide superstars there....dustin almost won a braclet this year...and druff is a great showman....not to mention that the fox network hired him to play corky in the remake of life goes on....
    Love it
  2. Morgan played very tight during the final table.   He then lost most of his chips on an ill-timed bluff vs Paul.  The hands against Cindy were bad luck, but the damage had already been done. The problem with ESPN's coverage is that they only show VERY few hands from the final table.  Trying to condense 9 hours (or in some cases 12+ hours) of action into a 1 hour show (with probably only 30 minutes or less of poker) leads to some very misleading shows.Perry
I couldnt agree more Perry...ESPNs coverage is poor at bestP.S. I was standing by your table at the WSOP this year during the NLHE w/rebuys 1k event(#37)---i got knocked out rather quickly, even after a handful of rebuys--- when you shouted to Phil Gordon: "Hey, Phil Gordon, Celebrity Poker sucks!!"....I started LMAO....just wondering if you were buddies, or if you just didnt like him or something.
  3. They showed TWO hands....go read the transcript...and tell me that he had Aces and Kings in all of those hands he was raising and then check raising the flop in....
No...in most of the hands I saw(I know thats not the whole story) Seidel had great cards...Im not saying he didnt play great...... I'm just saying he got hit with the deck....to quote Seinfeld....."not that theres anything wrong with that" 8)
  4. In fact, Stuey could only beat 4-5, 4-6 or 5-6 in this scenario.
Not to nit pick, but I've read Phil's book, and I've seen this description in other places, but couldn't he have beat 2-4, 2-5, 8-9, etc???? Each time I read that it bothers me.
Yes, but none of those are likely holdings for Mansour, considering the action(Phil was only listing most likelyhands there)....review the hand and think about it
  5. Paul's blog link below - looks like he would have had more chips except for the fact that Jennifer Harman made a monster laydown with aces.http://extempore.livejournal.com/
I myself went against my gut yesterday in a cash game with KK, and knew I should fold, but instead I put the guy all-in. I was right, he had a set. It's not easy to do, even when you know you should.
Amen.....that was a hell of a laydown by Jen....no surprise there....thats why shes one of the best in the world(Annie who?????)
  6. not true, that movie was awful. Michael Imperioli only has one gear, Christopher Multisanti. I've seen most of the movie then read the book. Go book. I'm a reader though, so.
Agreed. Movie is half-assed. Dalla's book is fantastic.
I agree with these opinions....movie didnt do him justice, book was very good.----Back in the 80's they programmed a cpu to play Stu at Gin---"The f.ucking thing started smoking and s.hit.... it went through shock....it was hilarious!!!" -Stuey Ungar
  7. Druff is a good player who out-performed Dn at this year's WSOP.. but then again so did just about everyone else
That doesnt mean he isnt a Tool....i never said he was a bad playerP.S.Lets see 'Druff' come close to DN's results over the last few years
  8. TODD/DAN DRUFF/ACTION or whatever your name will be tomorrow:why would ESPN tell someone to ham it up? poker provides it's own drama. wait... a better question is, if you made it to a final table and it was to be aired on ESPN and they told you to "ham it up" for the cameras, why didn't you politely tell them to f*ck off??? not that i have been to many final tables or anything but if i make it to a final table, i'm expending 100% of my energies to winning 1st place and observing my competition, rather than jumping around like an attention-starved monkey trying to look good on camera (which has to be -EV)...besides, what are they going to do, tell you to leave? its your money, you can act any damn way you wanted to, and you did, without any prompting from their staff and you know it. from your self-serving post about Negreanu (which was in actuality saying "look at me! look at me! i won a bracelet! i'm important now and i'm gonna bash others to make me look even better!"), to your sorry WSOP episode, now your fake internet names, you have proven yourself to be that attention-starved monkey, and you will not be getting anymore of that attention from me. i implore posters to let this sneaky little rat die in his own excrement, he doesn't deserve this much attention around here.
  :club::D Please, everyone, heed this advice.....thank you
  9. Stuey just had amazing card sense.....he could smell weakness and just ate it up.....the man was demolishing people when he was freakin 12!! Generally considered the best ever at gin.....he could read your hand after just a few discards. I could go on and on.....you should pick up 'One of a Kind'.....excellent book about Stu.....most of it was put together while he was alive, so theres a lot of his own words in it.....great read

  10. Now when you choose to gamble to chase, the turn call was horrible. You've made your wish and chased it, what were you waiting for? If you were scared of higher boat, fold on the flop anyway. What can he expect? Everyone checked for him, then on the river checked again and said "oh congrats you made the boat please take my money"?
My thoughts exactly....you called on the flop to hit a boat, then called, folded after you hit??? Extremely timid play after you hit the hand you were in there to make.....doesnt make much sense
  11. I agree with all of you on this one....he has to bet here......I think Ted was thinking that Daniels only going to give action if he has the case ace(which is what i wouldve put him on, no doubt)and hes going to get raised if he has the case 6....I just dont know how you could not bet here, however...if he has quads, hes getting paid off (at least by me)....then again, who are we to second guess Ted??.....i do think he played this hand wayyyyy too carefully though....for what its worth

  12. "Sometimes nothins a pretty cool hand." --Paul Newman in Cool Hand Luke "He had nothin but dreams." --Stu Ungar after calling a massive bet on 7th st. and winning a huge pot with a pair of 3's"It comes down to what its all about.....making the wrong move at the right time." --Edward G. Robinson in The CIncinnati Kid
