Qq Or Jj Against A Board With Lower Cards
wildpegasusfan replied to wildpegasusfan's topic in General Strategy
Are you talking about the flop here or before the flop? I'm not 100% sure here.Ok, if you're talking preflop would you call to see the flop in your situation before you'd probably let it go? Let's say the player's tight and you pretty much "know" he's got AA,KK. I suppose it depends on how much the reraise of the reraise is. -

Qq Or Jj Against A Board With Lower Cards

Okay. This just happened to me last night 7 hands into the game so I didn't know my opponent yet. Both stack sizes were about the same with him having a little bit more. I didn't know it than but I'd say now he was pretty but not totally tight and aggressive often betting 20x the blinds. At that time, I didn't know if he was a bluffer yet or not. -

I'm sometimes reraising preflop before the flop and sometimes not.No Limit Hold'em. is the game I'm playing. -
I think this is in the right category because it's more of a general question and not a specific hand question This is a situation I run into sometimes when I'm playing. I get raised before the flop. I have QQ or JJ or 1010. The board comes up and it's a fairly safe board where you don't think a set has been hit. It almost becomes a guessing game on wether you're behind to KK or AA which is really annoying especially when you're facing off against an aggressive better. How do people approach this situation here?

I don't like the river bet either. I was thinking of just checking and "giving" up the hand because I figured he showed some strength in his hand and he probably wouldn't fold on the river. Yeah, I know I threw away a dollar. In hindsight, a bigger bet might've made him fold because my opponent was friendly afterwards and told me it was a tough call but I was just too scared of throwing away a lot of money on a raise and just being called. I am wondering why the turn bet is WAY too small. How much do you feel I should've bet? And what about the flop bet? Was that okay? I gather the calling o

I'm still trying to improve my game so I decided to post this here and discuss it with everyone. Basically, I want to know what everyone thinks I did right and what I did incorrectly. The only thing I knew about my opponent was that he didn't bet a lower pocket pair when there were higher cards on the board during the last hand. I was trying to hit the flush nuts Total number of players : 6Seat 1: AAAA ( $7.79)Seat 2: BBBB ( $15.66)Seat 3: CCCC ( $18.83)Seat 4: DDDD ( $6.45)Seat 5: BENOIT ( $32.28)Seat 6: HART( $34.36)BENOIT posts small blind (0.10)HART posts big blind (0.25)** Dealing dow

Betting Or Not Betting On Draws
wildpegasusfan replied to wildpegasusfan's topic in General Strategy
Okay than, I'll try to do that. -
This falls under strategy so I believe this is the right place to ask this question. This deals with NoLimit Hold'em or Pot Limit. I need some help or general guidelines on how to bet with draws. Should I or shouldn't I? And if I do bet, than how much should I bet? I know every situation is different but some general thoughts would still really be nice.If I were to bet on a straight or flush draw, how would things change due to the amount of pot, the amount of players and so on? How much should I be playing or should I just lay back and fold/or try to hit my draw?Any response is appreciated as

Sorry, I wasn't paying attention enough.

Basically here, I hit trips on the flop so I decided to lay low. When my opponent went all in, I called thinking I had the whole pot won but I didn't. I know side pots occur with 3 players but how does it work with 2 players? I need guidance with 3 or more players as well I think. I obviously changed all the names around for this hand. Benoit is me. Total number of players : 5Seat 2: Benoit ( $4.42)Seat 4: Hulk Hogan ( $4.96)Seat 5: Macho Man ( $4.10)Seat 9: Bret Hart ( $9.04)Seat 10: Andre The Giant ( $1.96)Andre The Giant posts small blind (0.02)Benoit posts big blind (0.04)** Dealing

Does anybody use Firepay here? What are your thoughts? I couldn't find too much info on a search here so I thought I'd just go ahead and ask.I'm Canadian by the way so I don't have to worry about being from the US.

From just hearing everyone talk, it's the Wii all the way. 99% of the excitement out there is for the Wii right now. People are still waiting outside in lineups for Wiis and the PS3's are just staying put in the stores with nobody caring. Plus you have Zelda. And we all know if past history is any indication that the PS3 will break down so that not only means you will have to sell your house to buy one of these things but you'll end up selling everything else you have too.
