I think Daniel is one of the best players around. In reading his latest journal you get the feeling that the cards have gone away for a little bit from him.I mean I am not the greatest player but somehow it puts my leaving tournaments early more in perspective when it happens to one of the best players. I appreciate Daniel also writing about his one story about him getting trapped by someone slow playing something. As I am sure has happened to many of those reading this. 12AI looked and looked and have not found another pro that is giving us, up and coming players, access to read his thoughts and being able to follow his progress, good and bad. Daniel is truly a class act and a great person.I was getting really down on myself because I have had a bad run for about the last couple weeks in bigger tournaments. I had qualified for a 325 person tournament, Fantasy Poker League Nebraska/North Dakota Championship where the winner got a seat to the WSOP main event. Pretty early on I had a straight that got beat by a flush. Then not so long after that I had a J high flush beaten by a K high flush, and that took me out. Not to mention that all my mental prep for the tourney went away when I broke a couple of toes at the house a few hours before the tourney, shower accident. But I feel I still played a decent tournament but was not mentally on top of my game. But when I read about Daniel's misfortune I stopped doubting my game. I have a ton more respect for Daniel for writing his journal about the bad times as well as the good times. Plus I can only imagine how frustrating is just wanting to get away from the tables when you get busted having had an expectation of winning a tournament and people want to stop you and get autographs and pictures. Well, if Daniel reads this, thank you for letting us in on your life and know that your writings are helping many players improve their game. If I for one see you at the tables all I will do is wave and say hi. Well, I was going to make a joke about something involving a gay prostitute with a back pack but that joke would probly be lost on everyone. lol.
