First off I am new to the forums and have just deposited my first $50 in Stars. Wish me luck on my journey. Now to my point, while taking a break from microlimit grinding I started playing these 5+.25 and have become hopelessly(sp) addicted. Is it just me or are these things not only very soft but a hell of a lot of fun? I finished my first 9 at 5-4, after starting 4-1 I took a few beats and made a bad play to drop my record, but from what ive seen i may not be playing much limit any time soon. What are your guys opinions about these things and can they be profitable at higher levels?

I play a lot of the $10 heads up sit & go's on Stars and I think they are very soft. Players generally play either very tight or overly aggressive, always seems to be one of the two extremes. They have been far more profitable than cash games, tourneys or 1 and 2 table sit & go's for me. I'd be interested to know if anyone else find's this to be true also. My only problem is to stick with them, as I get bored easily and move to other games which are much less profitable.

Scott, you should open up a low-limit ring game to keep you occupied so you don't get bored, helps pass the time during slow heads up matches and tournaments.

It's not that heads up matches are too slow for me, I think they're great in that you get to play almost every hand. I just get bored after a few matches and move on to less profitable games. I might take you're advice on opening up a penny NL game during slows tourneys though, I know I personally get ancy after a long dry spell and start to play hands and make moves that I know I shouldn't.
