all in vs. card player magazine

Recommended Posts

I was refreshed when I read the following excerpts in the current issue of All In. Bhu Srinivasan, Editor, observes…“With millions of people watching and playing poker each week, we know that the poker world deserves a world-class magazine dedicated to the game. The most difficult part for me has been in coming up with an editorial formula that delivers the most value to the most people. In going through this process, I realized that the greatest thing about the poker renaissance is the great American home game.“The big-money tournaments, the endless TV coverage, the convenience of online poker and the star power of professionals are all great things and they certainly help the commercial side of the equation for us, but the camaraderie and friendship found in the home games across America and the world is the backbone of poker…”I’m excited to see how All In magazine evolves. By keeping in mind that the majority of poker players are amateurs that only make the pilgrimage to any casino, let alone Vegas, a few times in their lifetime, All In is truly positioned to deliver “the most value to the most people.” (Being distributed by Time Warner helps a little bit. Sarcasm.) Already I’m inclined to read All In before I read Card Player. If you decided to give All In a try this month, I’d love to hear your thoughts on it.
