The fact of the matter is HoH is largely irrelevant for today's online game, and Highway is spot on in his analysis of stack sizes.

I simply cannot see why shoving here is the best play. I understand all your points but I still thought that having enough chips would be OK to raise here instead of going all in pre flop. Are you guys basing this off becauyse its a 225 donk tournament? Would you do it ( the same shove ) in a large buy in Tourney ?
I would shove here at any buy in, including the main event. You can quote me on that.I guess it really just depends on what you prefer to do, niether way is necasarily wrong but I have seen a decent number of hands in MTTs at all stakes and have won a respectable amount of money (not a brag Im just saying that my opinion has some value to it). From the expierences ive had, I garentee you that shoving here is the best option. You just dont want to have to lay down TT at this stage of the tournament, with the blinds and antes so big. If you had more chips, Im all for just raising it pre and playing your hand after the flop. But with that stack size, it is my opinion that shoving is the best option, (maybe not BY FAR the best option as you could make a case for just raising pre, but its is the best option I assure you).Seriously somebody PM Daniel and ask him, i will be surprised if he disagrees.

Feel free to expand if you think I don't know what I'm talking about.
HoH is good poker advice, period. whether or not you think it's "for online" is beside the point. good advice is good advice. not every tournament has the structure of the main event. in fact, decent online tourneys have about the same structure as lower buy in live events, and actually better than most one day smaller casino tourneys.labeling something as "for the internet" or "for live games" is absurd.

HoH will no doubt give you great fundamentals, however the advice as far as stack sizes and shoving ranges go is far too outdated to make you a winner in MTTs (and this applies to online, as there is a difference.)

strategy wise, no, there is no difference. maybe live players are more passive, but then you just adjust your plays accordingly. but you're right. harrington has no idea what he's talking about. the games he plays are soooo 5 years ago.
