  1. You don't get rivered when all the money is in before the flop. If all the money is in before the flop, it doesn't matter in which way the cards come.
Yah, I was gonna say.He got all his money in with QQ vs AK.While not an overwhelming fav, he was slightly ahead. So wasnt Corkins lucky for hitting an A on the flop as well?
  2. Matusow totally deserves getting back the trash talk, I'm not saying he doesn't. Just saying there is a difference between trash talk and pointing out on national television that Mike is broke.Danny has always seemed like a really decent person, it just semed little harsh.
People this is not a kiddie game. Just like Mike said during the WSOP. This is a game full of gamblers with intense amount of money on the line. I don't care how glammerous its become in the spotlight, gambling is a degenerate habit and full of lying and cheating and trying your best to break someone and STEAL money from them. Daniel is no spring chicken, he might be respectful and cheery but Mike was crossing him and crossing his money and he's not gonna take it. I'm sure if more high stakes cash games were shown you'd see some people you've come to "admire" and sweat be a lil nasty just like anyone else would.
  3. While I have a large amount of respect for Daniel both as a person and a poker player, I think Daniel went a little below the belt last night when he called out Matusow for playing on borrowed money.Regardless of what you think of Mike, the man can play the game. I don't think that Daniel needed to point out that Mike might be playing on a loaned bankroll on national television, just my opinion, but I lost some respect for Danny last night.Though Danny was completely right when Mike called out Daniels A7 when he wasn't even involved in the hand and there was still action on Danny.
Hey if you want to dish it out all game, get ready for gettin some back.Sitting at a table with some of the best poker players in the world and calling them donks and telling them they don't know hwo to play poker...well you gotta expect something back.I mean I get it, in a 10,000 buy in tourney there is a lot to be won but there is very little to be lost so talkin **** and being goofy can be more tolerated, but this is a game with $100k of your own money. You don't **** around with serious peoples cash like that and you follow the rules. Or you get punked and they take all your money.
  4. I agree, but we don't yet know the size of Daniel's reraise. In that situation, you would move in with Aces or AK, similar to Matt Matros's latest article in CardPlayer. The reason is because he hates just calling in this situation. I disagree with the all-in move I would've folded if it was a significant reraise but we all know how aggressive Andy Black is. Remember the JK all-in raise with 5 or so limpers with 10 left in the '05 ME event where he eventually lost to jacks.
I mean you gotta imagine this is a perfect example of DNs sometimes loose preflop image and style of play. Getting paid off big in that situation by an aggressive player.
  5. Actually Blackjack can be a very effective way of clearing your bonuses. But you simply have to do the min bet of $1 forever, playing exactly the numbers every single hand. You will stay pretty close to even and eventually clear your bonus. Takes a while and is no fun, but fairly effective.

  6. Moving into a 3 bedroom with only one other person , so definetly turning the 3rd bedroom into a poker room/den.Anyone in Chicago with a nice poker table maybe know a good place to get one or order one that wont charge an arm and a leg for shipping?

  7. if they won it on the hand, that meant they had a chip lead.which means they were probably playing to have two lives cards a lot of the time or being a lil more loose since you can win it all in the one hand.see a lot of silly calls from people H2H when they have a big chip lead.

  8. First off in reply to Pete Carrol not being used to playing from behind, do yourself a favor and look up how many games they started the 2nd half behind this year.As for the call to go for it. The way Young was moving the ball on them, who cares about 20 extra yards. You get those 2 yards, you win the game. This is a, no, the bowl game, you don't play to prevent and hope the defense holds up. You play to win that ******, that's how teams win. Also, the defense was holding them until the face mask penalty and until they stopped putting a mean blitz on em. Not sure what happened there.Young is a freak, but I highly doubt an NFL defense would let him run to the right everytime he was within 15 yards of the end zone. They are just to big and fast and mean in the NFL. He woulda gotten layed out.
