Neverwin got in over his head and he didn't realize it until he read DN's reply. He tried a little damage control with the whole "My site caters to 17 year olds", but unfortunately that doesn't excuse HIS comments, only the comments of the 17 year olds.I've got to believe there are a lot more pros out there Daniel wouldn't want to see before Neverwin. Next time I see Neverwin on the Internet, I want to see him playing with play chips.

Good luck to the OP, I'm sure it will be difficult, but time will eventually heal and the good memories will be left. I also believe Teecup  should be banned. That's just plain ignorance. I've never wanted to punch someone for an Internet post, but that's pretty close.Spademan, your post had nothing to do with the topic. Obviously you're not religious and I'm non-practicing as well, but I don't talk down to people who are. Respect everyone's opinion whether you agree with it or not.

Tryangle is Gary Lent, right?

Paul Wolfe has joined.

Thanks Sudden. I somehow missed that.

So Poker Tracker is useless for Full Tilt players, right?

There were a lot of people discussing college last night, so it was a younger crowd, but that's no excuse. Another lesson that can be learned from watching the pros online is that ESPN edits a whole lotta hands. Matusow and Ivey went something like 15 straight hands without even seeing a flop. It gives a more realistic view, but, yeah, it was a little boring so I understand why they do it.
-
Without a doubt.

Watching this for the short time made me realize and appreciate how some of these guys give their time. Steve Brecher stuck around after everyone left and gave advice on situations and even Matusow seemed like he was willing to help people. I've been critical of DN in the past, but I think we should all appreciate the pros who give their time because it's not a requirement. Also, the railbirds drove Ivey to quit playing, and this was on the Internet. I can't imagine the harrasement these guys get in person. A lot of it was "I love you. you're the best, etc.", but these guys got famous PLAYING poker, so for chrisakes, let them do it in peace. I doubt Ivey or Daniel care if Huggeybeargirl56 loves him or not. Yeah, I need sleep.

At the moment a bunch of idiots sat in seats and didn't play, which prompted Matusow to sit out and eventually drove off Phil Ivey. I believe Matusow was up around $5,000. He took one huge pot from Ivey.

Good match though. Matusow said the next time they play will be on Pay Per View. What a jackass.

Yeah, I'm a Jamie & Coke guy myself, but can't operate the computer at the end of the night, which is good. Congrats though.

I'm not a great player, but I have read a lot. My advice is to buy in the whole amount. You can't play poker scared or you will be too tight. Like a lot of people said, you have to have 100 chips in front of you to win 100 chips if you flop the nut straight. When you first sit down, play tight until you know the table atmosphere and then open up a little. Only buy-in what you're willing to lose, though, that's poker. I believe in SS1 Doyle states that he always buys in for more chips then the largest stack in the game. It also helps your table image and may intimidate the guy next to you who is in his first game at B&M. Anyways, good luck.

Congrats to all new parents. I'm 27 and I know for a fact I'm not ready yet, but I wish all of you the best.

Do any of you have a spreadsheet or an example of how you track your wins/losses. I am so damn disorganized I don't know if I'm a winning player or not. Also, what's the definition. For instance I hit one big score in a MTT and have been pretty poor for a while, so while I'm up a little still, I don't consider myself a winning player. This has been the trend for me. I do well in tourneys and sngs, but poorly at ring games. Any suggestions? My thoughts are that I'm looser in tourneys because I've already paid my money, but in ring games, I could lose more.

This has got to be a joke, right? Who posts that kind of incoherent crap? I'm surprised the OP can even log onto the computer.

Why do I only see Gowen & Cunningham?
-
Why can't you guys play online? This is why online poker exists, to crush through locational barriers. Obviously it's not the same thing, but all could watch this way. Is it because Smash just wants to see if this is a fat chick or not?
-
Do you guys all fold KQ in early position here like the previous poster? If so, maybe that's where I'm going wrong.
-
I agree with the majority. Raise 3x BB, continuation bet, then slow down if necessary. I believe Doyle Brunson addresses your math question in SS 1. I think he says if everyone has folded to him, he is less agressive because somebody has to have somethin'. Of course, I don't agree, but I'm down about $30 in my career and he's up a few.
-
After reading that, I'm immediately sending my picture to Jennifer Harmon.

From what I understand, Phil Ivey doesn't have off days. By that logic, something else happened yesterday. Reading cardplayer it seemed like he bet and then was reraised and forced to fold almost every time. Not real Ivey-like.

I respect rforman13's arguments, but Neverwin doesn't have 1/2 the resume of Daniel. I don't even think he has done enough to warrant his own thread. I'm not into Forum Wars, but I think Full Contact are the favorites here. I don't need BoDog to tell me that Daniel is a heavy favorite in a matchup with a kid named Neverwin. I have no idea why Neverwin would risk so much of his bankroll, but maybe if he wins he can sell some of those sweet T-shirts.
