You are right! That's him. I just googled it. It wasn't a Circuit Event. I was the 2005 US Poker Championship at the Taj.What a character.Bobby Chung..I professional.. I professional. -
... I was watching ESPN and I think it was a WSOP circuit event, this Asian player who was a total character was saying "Professional!" all the time. I remember he said it once when he was all in preflop with KK. He is kinda chubby, maybe in his 40's or 50's.Anyone knows his name?

Good job Bizzle. Glad to see you finally won your seat.

I was playing $2/5 NL ($200 buy-in) when Gavin came to the table. I also played some $5/10 NL ($400-1000 buy-in). There's some crazy action in that game, like people going all-in blind for $1k preflop. The $2/5 game is very rocky.I won $1300 for but I had a blast.

Priceless moments from my week-long trip to vegas:- Playing with Steve Dannemann at the Bellagio, getting drunk at the table with him, running into him later when he proceded to pay for breakfast. A really great and fun guy.- Seeing Doyle and Todd Brunson, Farha, Greenstein, Reese, Ivey, Gus, Chau, Harman, Luske, Scotty Nguyen, etc, etc, etc. They were all there for the WPT Championship.- Doyle almost running over a dude with his motorized wheelchair. He uses it to go to the restroom going full throttle and doesn't stop for anyone. Classic.- Playing with the guy with played with his foot at last years Main Event (can't remember his name).- Gavin Smith came to our table to say hi to Dannemann, grabbed and looked at the hole cards of the guy sitting next to Dannemann and told him "Let me play this hand for you". Raised $25 with Qd4s, then called a $100 raise, called $150 on the flop with a flush draw, called $350 all-in on turn with straight and flush draw, missed and lost to AA, pulled out $600 from his pocket, gave it to the guy and left.

The best way for you to build a bankroll to move to Vegas is to play online for now. play low limits, say 2/4, and multitable, then move up limits.

$2000 a month is not really enough in the US. Plus, if you are looking to cook for yourself, you'll need to find a place that has a kitchen, and that will cost more.I do this for a living, but I live in LA and play in the local casinos here. I have a Masters in Computer Science that could guarantee me $70-75k a year. I choose to play poker right now because I can make more money, but it's not as glamourous as many people think. While it's true that you can work on your own schedule, it's also true that you'll experience emotional up and downs unlike most other jobs. Flexibility without discipline will mean that you could end up playing very long sessions and having bad sleeping habits, negating all the benefits of a flexible work schedule. In the end, it's like any other job, most of the fun of poker is gone once it becomes your profession. There will be many days when you won't feel like playing but you still have to because you have to pay your bills. If i was making the same money in poker than a regular job, I'll take the regular job wihout any doubt. In my opinion, playing poker as a job is worth it only if you are making a very good living.

You are on fire todayNow to add to my public embarasement, I just checked PT and I was playing Omaha Hi for 45 minutes and I thought it was Hi-Lo. Never noticed while I was playing, but I was 4 tabling at the time and only played 5 hands.Rough day for sure. -
If you don't want to be pot commited, you could just call his raise and see the flop. You put yourself in a position where you are putting $150 with a drawing hand.

I'm heading to the Bike tonight, I'll be watching it live!

Yeah, that was a dumb play... no excuses. Only thing i can say is that i was raising his blinds a lot, and thought maybe he was just getting tired of it. But you are right, after he goes all-in, i should know i'm beat.Gotta say, Amelie, that was one strange call with the Ace-2. (Though now I see you got all those chips back with two pair.) I guess I can understand challenging his raise after you bet on the flop. (You had top pair, after all.) But once he went all-in, I'm not sure what you imagined you were beating when you called, other than a suicidal bluff. In any case, good luck. My brain would turn to putty playing an online tourney for 9 hours...and with at least another two or three to go. And I only just started watching; maybe you had a read on that guy that was based on some earlier play. No question you're earning every cent of your payout tonight. Scott -
