  1. BTW, I saw Kidd play in high school and he totally dominated the games and would score something like 18 points. He just did everything and made everyone better.
Very well said. Lamond Murray is living proof that Kidd makes players around him much better. I doubt Murray would have been drafted at #7 if he didn't play with Kidd. E. Brand has been one of the most underrated players in the NBA despite his consistency. I am rooting for him to win it this year.Btw, Wynn Casino has put together lines "for entertainment purposes " for Sports Illustrated on the MVC race:http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=cnns...cnnsi&type=lgnsPoor Matrix at 100 to 1!
  2. thanks, do you know how many raked hands I gotta play
Unlike other sites like Party which releases your bonus by a fixed number of hands of raked hands you play, the rate at which you earn the bonus on Full Tilt is relative to the amount of rake actually taken from each hand. This means you can earn your bonus faster as you play higher limits and in games with higher average pot sizes. Below is a link with explanation from Full Tilt on how its bonus system works. Hope this helps.http://www.fulltiltpoker.com/reloadDeposit.php"For each dollar raked from a pot, every player who was dealt cards for that hand will earn one point. You can earn partial points if less than one dollar is raked, and you can earn up to three points per hand. Each point is worth $.06, so you can earn up to $18 per hundred hands."
  3. Yeah, but it comes slow. I don't know the rules behind it (somebody explain) but I deposited $130 a few days ago and just got a whopping $6.50 yesterday, which the popup announced was a portion of my bonus. Gee thanks FTP, I'm going to QJ/SH/GTV on that one.
For the reload bonus, you get 50% of your deposit as bonus money. The maximum reload bonus is $300 so if you deposit $600 or more, all you will receive is $300 in bonus money. Since you deposited $130, you received $65 (50% of $130) as your bonus money.Bonus on Full Tilt is released by increments of 10% of the amount of bonus you are eligible for, or every $20, whichever amount is lesser. In your case, 10% of $65 is $6.50 so your bonus is released everytime you've paid enough rakes to earn $6.50 in bonus. Say instead your reload bonus was for the full $300, then your bonus would be released in increments of $20 since $20 is less than 10% of $300. About a year ago before it modified its rules, Full Tilt strictly released bonuses at 20% increments regardless of the amount of the deposit. This meant that for the 100% initial deposit bonus and those who maximized and deposited $600 (which is the max for initial deposit bonus), the bonus was being released at every $120 increments! Imagine that
  4. Since I don't play limit poker I wasn't really aware of the half-the-size rule for reopening the betting. According to the following from thepokerforum.com, it appears that the half-the-size rule only applies to limit poker. http://www.thepokerforum.com/nopotlimit.htm3. All raises must be equal to or greater than the size of the previous bet or raise on that betting round, except for an all-in wager. A player who has already checked or called may not subsequently raise an all-in bet that is less than the full size of the last bet or raise. (The half-the-size rule for reopening the betting is for limit poker only.) Example: Player A bets $100 and Player B raises $100 more, making the total bet $200. If Player C goes all in for less than $300 total (not a full $100 raise), and Player A calls, then Player B has no option to raise again, because he wasn’t fully raised. (Player A could have raised, because Player B raised.)

  5. It sounds like the software treated you as being logged in twice.I recently had that issue as well and it will fold the hand and then close the table. You probably confused the software by having both tables open at the same time when it moved you from one to the other. Sounds like a software glitch to me.
I've had the same glitch happen to me before. I am not 100% sure but I think it happened to me in both the downloaded version and the java version.
  6. Latest update as of dinner break from bluffmagazine.com:Road posting via TREO650Dinner time. no word on chip counts. spoke briefly with Andy he is happy with how everything is progressing...and he also said that he is having fun...which is the most important thing. I also over heard him say that he hopes jennifer remains in the game after dinner. unlike yesterday when todd and andy had dinner the sides went there seperate ways this evening...my one quote from jennifer..was "we are hanging in there".

  7. This will be where we keep track for the whole season.I will edit this post after each match. Here are the standings through 3 matchs:1.KDawg's team 520 pts2.Custom's team 270 pts3.Suited_Up's team 140 pts3.PMJackson's team 140 pts5.Figger's team 100 pts6.Sfkid' team 70 pts7.Donk Squad 0 pts 7.Royaltour's team 0 pts 7. Floppy Nuts 0 ptsEdit - Last changed on 1/30.
    1st 1402nd 1003rd 70
I don't know the actual results but the points do not appear to add up here. If the current standing is after 3 matches, the total points should be 930 (3* (140+100+70)). It looks like the standing was meant for 4 matches since the points add up to 1240 (4* (140+100+70)). If that's the case, Figger's team should have 170 points which means another team (or teams) may also not have the correct total points. I haven't been tracking the results but KDawg's team having 520 points would mean that that team had won 1st three times and then 2nd once. Just a quick observation for what it's worth.
  8. AQ is my own little tournament killer. How I hate it sometimes. And no, I'm not trying to be Phil Ivey. JS
Can you explain the reference to Phil Ivey here. thanks.
In all or most of his WPT final tables, he busts out when he has AQ.
He also had bad luck against opponent's AQ on a couple of occasions. He was knocked out by Moneymaker in 2003 WSOP ME when Moneymaker's AQ rivered a higher fullhouse than Ivey's 99 (9 full of Qs) which Ivey made on the turn.
  9. I am playing heads up nl and we both have around $600 in chips. I am first to act with 88 and raise to $50. Opponent re-raises to $100 and I call. Flop is 38a. Opponent checks and I bet $200 and opponent re-raises all in. Tough decision here but I make the call and sure enough opponent has pocket aces. Anyone know the odds of1. Both being dealt pocket pair2. both hitting set on the flopThanks
    1. Roughly 1 in 289 (1/17 x 1/17), or in terms of percentages, 5.9% x 5.9% = 0.35%The probability of a player being dealt a pocket pair is about 1/17 and for both players to have pocket pairs is about 1/17 x 1/17 or 0.35%.2. Roughly 1 in 64 ( 1/8 x 1/8 ), or 10.8% x 10.8% = 1.17%The probability of a player hitting a set on the flop is about 1/8 and for both players to flop a set in HU is about 1/8 x 1/8 or 1.17%.Assuming I still remember what I learned from those stat classes correctly, the chance of event #1 and event #2 both occuring is approximately 1/18496, or 0.35% x 1.17%, roughly 0.0055%. Very long shot indeed. :!:
