I have 6500 fpps and didnt know what to use them on so I'm going to play a 4500 fpp turbo satellite to get into this. Of course if I do i'll just sell it because playing this unless you have 250k bankroll is -EV.Have fun taking your shots donks

you're an idiotWhy is everyone so angry? Why does everyone seem to be on steriods? I'm not challenging anyone or "calling anyone out". People are saying a certain style is the most profitable and I respectfully disagree. I made a bet to test the veracity of villan's statement for several reasons: (1) Prop bets are ALWAYS fun; (2) People are defending the style which makes the bet even more fun; (3) nothing wrong with motivation in playing more hands. It seems I have a taker on the bet and were just hammering out the details of it. There is no ill will or animosity in my words at all. Nothing wrong with challenging yourself and making a little money is there? I just honestly don't think this strategy works; not even in SSNL. That's why I'm making the bet. If I'm wrong, I'll gladly pay the bet and rethink optimal strategy at SSNL next time I coach someone.I'm going to bed. Just trying to have a little fun and people are ruining it. i guess you can look at poker in the short term....for MTT bankroll with fields over 1000 people, you should have 100 buy ins before pursuing a level. The fact you play it very rarely doesnt make a difference. We are all taught to look at poker in the long run and playing an event with less then 20 buy ins isn't a very good idea. I remember when I would "take shots" at big buy in tourneys then after like 4 or 5 "shots" I finally realized that if I didnt take those shots my bankroll would be heavily increased. I dont blame anyone for playing this tourney or trying to satellite in w/o the proper bankroll, but its a fact that playing out of your roll is never good idea.i dont think you need 250k but alot of people will be "taking shots" playing in this tournament.its not like they are playing a 2500 everyday though this is a once a year online event.

that is pretty sweet and job well done on that... But you missed the point that we were discussing was a multitable tournament field and not a STT. To make it through a field with thousands of players w/o showing down a hand isn't possible for a +ROIthe thread is not worth finding. the only important part of the thread was when i said that the goal of most tournaments (more specifically, SNG's) was not showing down a hand. bas said it couldn't be done, which caused me to play 100 $1 sng's wtih my cards covered (i taped paper onto the screen). i finished with a positive ROI. (slight brag) -
