I have reloaded. It felt awful and I promised myself It wouldnt happen again. So has a lot of good players you are right. But guess what. The top players learned from those mistakes. How do you think Negreanu built up his bankroll. By consistenly putting his bankroll on the line day in and day out?I understand you have to have a disregard for money. But the way you do this is think of your money in terms of big bets or big blinds. And you must do everthing in your power to protect these chips.Oh and ABC Poker has nothing to do with bankroll management.bascomeb who cares ?going bust is no big deal. all the best players have all gone bust at one point or another...Phil Ivey includedyou have to possess a certain disregard for money if you ever expect to be considered a top player. any idiot can play ABC poker at the micro limits and turn a measurable profit. it takes a REAL poker player to take risks that other players won't and push the envelopestop stroking yourself because you have never reloaded, its nothing to be proud of. -

Again maybe you aren't that good at poker? I built my roll starting at .5/1 limit and I built it up very quickly because players were so bad...i have never gone anywhere with micro limits
I'm guessing since you've done this repeatedly, that also means you've had to start over a few times. Which leads me to believe you've gone broke a few times.i have done it repeadely so i know its not a fluke..

This is a completly wrong way of thinking sir. You should always have respect for the money. Because this is what happens.You play .25/.50 nl and you think this is stupid these stakes mean nothing to me. So then you play 1/2 nl and get a lucky run of cards to boost your roll. You now say to yourself that you will play within your roll. But here is the problem. It's been a month now and you are getting tired of 1/2 nl. The stakes are no longer "the rush" that it was before. This happens to degenerate gambers. 1/2 nl now feels like playing .25/.50 a month ago. So now you go big for 2/4 nl, and then 5/10 etc. etc. till you eventually go broke.So always have respect for you bankroll even if its what you call "small". Whatever size your bankroll is it should always be compared to how many big blinds or big bets it isin the early stages, I say f**k bankroll management. You can spin your wheels for months grinding out low limit SnG's...once in a while it feels good to play over your head. Worry about bankroll management when you actually have a bankroll. But as far as nursing 100 bucks playing micros goes...screw that noise. -
