  1. In his last journal post, DN said he was stopping by the Wynn to pick up some cash for the rebuy event. This should be a huge tell that he is going with what got him there last year, mainly rebuying like a crack head after a lottery win. He has spoke of last years event and how although he did a crazy amount of rebuys, his winnings justified the cost. So, my estimate for rebuys this year is ....... 14 .......But, you only need to rebuy if you lose your chips. If he gets on a good run, obviously, that number could be way off.

  2. Cincy to vegas can be pricey. Every now and then they have a sale. If you arent against driving a little, indianapolis usually has cheaper flights. its a 2 hour drive from cincy or columbus. I got mine for $345 a week ago. Now, If your up cleveland way..detroit is the way to go...less than 2 hours drive and they always have deals that are better than clevelandsOf course, check out the discount sites on the internet for the cheapest flights.Hotels? if you havent got a room yet and are playin in the main event, you may have to stay at the frontier or the circus circus to get cheap rooms. But hey, when your playing poker for 10 hours a day, a bed is a bed.....believe me...if its clean and they have room service..it wont matter that much

  3. I once caught my grandma cheating at a bingo hall and reported her. I had to walk home and she wouldn't give me beer money the next day. So, be careful....very very careful :oBut on a serious note, collusion has always worried me online. How does one get caught unless being completely arrogant about it and chatting on the site and telling each other the cards and what to do. Lee said they can do a hand review and see if the person who folded had the winning hand, but thats the exception, not the rule. Most of the cheating is done by Instant messaging each other or on the phone, i would assume. I have emailed support of 2 occasions with my concerns about 2 particular players and got a " we checked into it, and everything is fine" response....How do they "check into it"?Its a real concern, as Lee Jones himself, who is card room manager for Pokerstars, himself stated in his book " winning low limit hold em"

  4. Doyle vs Ivey ( Arnold Palmer vs Tiger Woods)Ivey vs Gus ( 2 New school ultra aggresive players)Daniel vs Lederer (ultra aggresive vs conservative with a little bad history thrown in)Daniel vs Annie Duke ( see history above)Daniel vs Antonio Esfandiari ( 2 young guns that aren't exactly best friends)Annie Duke vs Jennifer Harman (mano to mano...errr..well, u get my drift)Harrington vs Gus ( see Daniel vs Lederer without the baggage)

  5. I agree...cut Daniel a little slack. He is discovering all of his options and spreading his wings..he will come back to center, when he feels the need.On a side note, I hear he is rehearsing lines for his upcoming staring role as Willie Loman in the touring production of "Death of a Salesman"

  6. Daniel said after his match with David that he was looking forward to some upcoming matches that would be "soft competition".A dig a Mimi? Trash talking to BG, to say, don't send me your soft underlings, I want mano to mano? Why oh Why can't they tape this and either offer it to tv or to watch on the computer............It would have been nice to watch the original match at Binions many years ago that was the prelude to the WSOP. This could be the start of something similar.

  7. I usually play online at PokerStars. I heard a few weeks ago that FullTilt is giving away an additional 10 million if you qualify on their site and win the big dance. So, I thought what the heck. I deposited some money and then.............Couldnt find a tourney to play in for a seat to vegas until sunday. Does anyone play on this site? Obviously, I am comfortable playing on POkerStars and I know the different paths to qualify. Can someone tell me if it is harder to qualify on FullTilt or easier and can you explain in a simple matter the diff ways to qualify for a seat.I guess i am just comfortable with PZokerstars, but it seems formatted in a much more user friendly and direct format

LOL ummm..my apologies for that also okay. like many others in this forum, i have to spell this out for you. You entitled this thread "Sklansky Responds to David's Challenge." You mixed up David with Daniel. UNDERSTAND? LOLDegrading, pompous, and basically just down right silly.Cry me a river. If this is your way of spelling it out for me, I'll bet you have great interpersonal relationships. Anyways, We have just spent 15 minutes of both of our times that we will never get back, so lets move on, shall wee?

  9. LOLYou make fun of me, then say I'm overly sensitive ??LOLWOWI can laugh at myself as well as anyone, but I usually reserve the right to make fun of someone with the people I know. I would never do it to a stranger. ITs not a joke if both parties don't get it.It just takes a few posts guys to maybe understand your sense of humor. SO, maybe in the future, if you don't want someone being "overly sensitive" you could give them a wink or something while you jab em in the side. You may get a better response.

  10. Listen Skeeter,I missed it. You got me. I screwed up. You are right and I am wrong. To take something that is funny because i missed it and try and twist it into something more profound, only shows your deep seeded anger and lack of patience. I am quite capable of chewing gum and walking at the same time. I appreciate you pointing it out where I was in error, as I didn't get it when the other gentleman tried to explain it. But if someone would have said I was using the first and last name of same person in subject head, I woulda got it.While again, I appreciate the info, the matter in which you presented it shows your lack of class.

  11. Vade, the reason for the heading being worded the way it was is because he didn't accept the challenge. He responded to it. If he would have accepted it, we wouldnt betalking about this, we would be clearing our calenders so we could watch.I agree absolute, they are too far apart for it to happen. But they both have good points. Both have loyalty issues with their casinos. David didnt say he wanted 1.3 to 1 on his game, just all the rest except his game, and Daniel said he could choose. Daniel is doing an excellent job with this, it will promote the Wynn out the Wazooooo.I like em both and just wish we could see the two sit down and play cards

  12. David Sklansky old hand Reged: 08/28/02 Posts: 841 Re: Negreanu Challenges Sklansky 05/02/05 06:21 PM Edit Reply Quote Last post on this subject:1. Daniel didn't mention a qualifier. I suspected it was an oversight but wasn't sure. Hi-Lo without a qualifier is still sometimes played and it is the game my chapter is about in Doyle's first book. I believe it is the best poker chapter ever written and so do many others. So I thought Daniel might like the idea of playing the guy who even Doyle considers the authority on the subject.2. I have virtually no experience heads up. Daniel should be a small favorite over me in the less technical games. In the more technical games such as single draw lowball, game theory should negate any psychological edge he might have.3. For me to flip a coin for 100K someone would have to lay me 130-100.4. I have to retract my earlier statement that extra publicity would make a close gamble worth it to me. That is still true. The problem is that it would be inappropriate for me to do something that the Wynn hotel could use for their benefit. Nothing at all against them. It's just that the Bellagio has generously let their casino be the one to put my game WPT All IN HOLDEM on their floor for the Nevada Gaming Commission's 90 day trial. So it would be extremely ungrateful for me to be a major part of any media event for a different hotel. Had that not slipped my mind, I wouldn't have even made my original offer.5. I am willing to play the follwing headup game with Daniel if it is not used to publicize a non MGM hotel. Stud 8/B. $200 ante, $300 bring in. $500-$1000, $40,000 freezeout. He lays me 50,000 to 40,000. I have no reason to think he would take this deal but it is definite on my part. If he wants to double the stakes I expect I can sell half of myself. I offer this proposition only to set in stone a game that I would absolutely play. That doesn't mean I wouldn't entertain other propositions.         I believe the ball is in Daniel's court now

  13. My open challenge. As I wrote in the general forum, I'll play anybody, virtually any game, for any amount from $100,000 to $500,000. I won't turn anyone down under any circumstances. The only stipulation I have is that if I lose a match I have the right to quit that player in that game.
 When he says he has a right to quit that player.....does that mean he has a right to stop after he loses the first game,...or does it mean if he loses the first game, he gets to decide when they will quit playing?Sorry, I'm a newbie and this quote of his confused me somewhat...Your reply would be helpful
