  1. i agree w/ allin. i think it's hilarious how everyone thinks dc is such a fish. Tehre's a reason why he plays the highest limits online and he hasn't gone broke... DN obviously can match him skillwise, pplaying higher limits regularly, but to say that DN will own this match seems ridiculous. Variance is a two-headed monster, and DN will endure the good and the bad. All the forum memebers playing 3-6 and 5-10 saying they'd own DC? please be serious.

  2. i play at absolute, and i know that one of the gifts they offer for accumulating points is a free year of cardplayer magazine. THey also have bluff magazine and something else for less points. If you're interested, tons of sites offer rakeback for absolute so you should check that out as well. If you need some extra help, you can PM me but it shoudl be easy enough.

  3. i woudl definitely do absolute first. The bonus is WAY easier to clear and the players, in my opinion, are far inferior. There are several other sites I would do before pokeroom, just because the bonus takes forever to clear. But between Absolute and Pokerroom, it's a nobrainer for me.

  4. best one i´ve ever heard... and probably will ever hear about. Heads up match between Stuey Ungar and Mansour Matloubi. Here´s the action.NL Hold emBlinds at $200-$400Chip counts;Stuey 60000Mansour 40000Stu opens for 1600Mansour callsFlop: 3 3 7 rainbow (suits irrelevant)Stuey bets 6000Mansour callsTurn: KBoth checkRiver: QStuey checksMansour goes all in for 32000Stuey stares him down and then says, ¨You have 4-5 or 5-6, and i´m gonna call you with this.¨ What hand does Stuey call with? 10-9. He doesn´t even beat a jack high bluff! Unbelievable read and having enough faith in that read to put all your chips in with 10 high. pretty unbelievable.(stolen for the most part from philhellmuth.com)

  5. Ive been in Spain for the past 3 weeks and I will be here for 3 more. I was curious to know if anyone had played in a B & M here before or anywhere else in Europe, just curious to hear your experiences and the similarities/differences between the U.S. and abroad. Also, any specific casinos that you may have played at in Spain, Italy, Amsterdam, and England along with the limits that they offer would be great. Thanks for your input.

  7. Even though you said that you don't like overplaying your hands, it seems as though a first position raise would either have a10 dominated or in a coin flip situation. In the long run, you think calling there is +EV?Because it's not.

  8. I'm not being biased towards Daniel at all here, I could name 2-3 players in every game that I think are favorites to Daniel BUT I don't think that Howard is one of them.
just curious... who would you name as the favorites in each of the games? I don't really think there are 3 players in the world who are a favorite over Daniel in pot or NL hold'em, but i'd be interested to hear who you have to say. All other games, just for discussion's sake as well.
  9. My suggestion is you play the player's club freerolls that they offer. Although people flock to the games, it's an opportunity to build up a big stack early on and then ride it into the finals. I won a $5000 player's club freroll, and my bankroll has been relatively healthy since. It's worth a shot.
