  1. I'm surprised at how dead this forum is since the WSOP is only a few days away.My biggest concern for formulating my team is that I dont' know who will actually be playing. Any big namers that wont' be playing in most or all of the WSOP this year?Again, also the big cash game players are always a hazard to put on your team because you never know how much of the tournaments they are going to play.

  2. Re-raise on flop.Bet turn.Call the river. Only hands that have you beat are A-K and A-J, and I doubt they have that. More likely A-10 down to A-2 because they raised on the cutoff, and A-10 down to A-2 would bet out the flop, check turn, and bet out river. What are you scared of six-handed?Very weak fold on river, IMO.
am i blind? doesn't any ace beat him?
  3. You can't do it on stars and I don't see why you should be able to on any site. Getting to see hands players muck without being dealt in the hand allows you free information that you didn't earn in any way. The main reason to allow players to see this is to avoid collusion and if you aren't playing at the table there really is no purpose from the sites point of view.
    uhh...newsflash...
  4. Hmm...now I'm not sure if I wanna look...anyone going to give me info on this? Besides the link that says jumper in it...I can only imagine what it could be.
oh god. I had the GUTS to click on the link. thats disgusting.
  5. 1. You have a girl governor.(Same as the rest of the politicians, NO BALLS!!!)2. WA state HP sucks (yes I used to live there and the HP are dumber than Super Troopers)3. WA is now CA north. They are no more than a California Bedroom community via air vice car.
    1. Right. That's not sexist.2. Right...that's relevant.3. I have no idea what you are saying.
  6. Yeah, I've read that before and I know that Lederer says that, but it really doesn't mean anything. More people get third place, so of course it pays more in that regard. And if there were no strategy adjustments, then it would always be +EV to play for third. This applies in low-limit SnGs where most people don't know what they're doing anyway. However, if you're playing against smart players, then so many will be focused on cashing that you'll find yourself in lots of huge +chip EV situations just by being the big stack. This allows you to make the jump from third to first just as easy as the jump from sixth to third. Since the jump from third to first pays more, this is very valuable.Lederer's just talking about the very basic strategy that when you're on the bubble, you can't afford to take a coin-flip or even a 60/40 favored situation against a stack that has you covered. However, if you put yourself in a situation where you have everyone else covered, you can greatly increase your chances of getting first without risking losing third. That's why it's so important to be aggressive early on.
    we're not.
  7. One way to think about it: how many buy-ins do you have left in your pocket? None to one -- Answer: don't pushTwo or more -- go aheadIn other words, if it breaks your bank, you can't call. If it's me .... I make a call here. You're on the button. You have a great chance at nutting up, or at least trashing his trips --- or KK ... ? ... Call, see what happens and let him make the mistake. If he checks the river, and it's a blank for me, I rely on a read to see if I push or not.
whoa whoa...this is a dangerous way to play.If you are on your last buy-in then you are probably playing too high for yourself. You should be playing the same way no matter how many buy-ins you have left. You shoudl be bankrolled well enough not to worry about it. It's the same answer no matter how much money you have.

  9. If I have a video I want to watch in a foreign language, and also have an .srt file with the translation, how do i watch the video with the translations at the same time?

  10. Yeah. That's why i have to decide now. If i decide now, then i can take 2 semesters of language, which is normally the minimum required before traveling. I already took 3 semesters of Spanish, so I could go to Spain...

  11. So i'm thinking about studying abroad. To do this, I basically need to make a decision within the next month. I already have some ideas where I want to go, but would like some input from you guys.If you had the opportunity to study abroad somwhere, where would it be and why? It could be anywhere...but keep in mind that the purpose of the trip is to experience another culture along with taking academic classes in another country.
