  1. Hey everyone...I just came by to give everyone a heads up on our poker team called "Final Table Team" at www.FinalTableTeam.com. Our team consists of a few of the best players in the Northwest. We have a forums section where we discuss everything poker. I hope we can get some more people to stop by and join. Peace, Billy, Final Table Team.

  2. There is a lot of action at my local $3-6 game, so very regularlyI get large stacks of chips. I always stack them in $25 stacks, and put them in a specific pattern depending on how many stacks I have. I build a pyramid, and on a good night (winning over $300 or so) I start to stack them two-tiered. I also hold my cards with my left hand while playing, instead of just putting a chip on them. I feel more comfortable about keeping my cards where I can feeel them. In addition to that, I put the higher card on top for hands with a king or an ace, for instance, an ace on top of a king, etc. But for connectors, I put the smaller card on the top, for instance 7 on top of the 8, etc. I know that none of these idiosynchrocies help me win, but they are things I just noticed I do without even thinking about it. I hope my pattern of putting my cards in that order doesn't leak out, just in case others are paying attention!!

  3. I just seen a beat like this at my casino a couple nights ago in a $3-6 kill game (this particular pot was a kill). Player A has 10-10, player B has 7-7. Flop comes K-K-10. Check around. Turn is a 7. Player A bets, and Player B raises, saying "this is probably a bad raise, but I'm gonna do it." Player A just calls. River is, of course, a 7. Now Player A is afraid that Player B has a K. He checks, Player B bets, Player A calls, asking at the same time "do you have a king?" Player B says, "No, but I have quads." What was really funny about this hand is that both players are really bad. Neither player really understood how much of a longshot it was. Me and my best friend looked at eachother and made a gagging motion with our fingers down our throat....it was hilarious. Player A just said "nice hand" as if it could happen everyday.

  4. hey. i am hoping i can get Daniel to answer this one. if not, i will take all suggestions. i was arguing with a poker dealer lately about why in hold'em the small blind is on the button. he says that there is no actual rule that the small blind must be on the button. i told him that every tournament you play in or see on TV has this structure. i told him that at a full table the button and the small blind act before the big blind (this is all preflop), so they are put together during heads up play. is there any one out there that knows the real reason so maybe this guy will change the structure at our local casino?
