I'm trying to stop sucking at Stud 8 and I'm wondering what my poker tracker numbers should look like. Does anyone use PTS for stud 8 who's beating the game?
-
I've been playing a lot of mixed games lately and seem to bleed a lot of chips in the limit holdem section. What should my poker tracker #'s be for 9 handed limit holdem if I'm playing a standard TAG game? What about 6-max?

Does anybody know what my pokertracker numbers should be for 9 handed limit Omaha 8/b?How about 6-max?

Anybody know what my Poker Tracker numbers should be for 9 handed PLO?I've been playing 6-max for a year or so and recently started dabbeling in full ring games. I've been struggling. Any thoughts on basic adjustments from PLO 6-max to 9 handed?
-
I've been playing mostly 6-max PLO for last year and have recently started venturing into $.10/$.25 full ring NLH. I have don't have a damn clue what I'm doing. What should my poker tracker numbers look like for full ring NLH if I'm playing a standard TAG game?I'd love it if any LAG players could share their numbers too.

The satellite is insanely fun and i cash out the 5k FTP points after I win. Good value. You should try it.Why on earth are you trying to qualify for the 25k?? -
you're right. I like raising pf a lot better.Any suggestions on a better converter. I'm pulling my histories from PT and have trouble getting a lot of the converters to work properly. (could be operator error). No, use a better converter. I'm not straining my eyes. There are a lot of good ones and the one you're using blows. You could even use the suit icons in the smileys for the forum.Folding Q9o is nitty? Since when? At least raise it OTB, limping is stupid. -
folding preflop feels a bit nitty. I'm more interested in your take on my turn play.Is the turn a 2nd 9 of spades?Jesus Christ. Used a better converter.Fold preflop.. -

Fold A2 on the button with no action in front? I'm new to full ring games, but seems very weak...

My bad-3rd hand of the tourny. We're both sitting on approximately t1,500.Stacks? Also, we're assuming you're looking for a line check, as there aren't any questions or commentary with this hand, so if you're looking for more, let us know.Yeah, slow down and just call the turn. We're sitting only on trips, still drawing to a non-nut boat, a non-nut flush and distantly drawing to a nut straight (I'd really would have rather continued from the flop with either a jack in hand or on the board, but heads up, this is fine). We don't want to pot commit when we're still drawing to the non-nuts, even heads up, and if we raise the turn, we risk doing just that. -
Absolutely. Show me you have.ISAPLO but I slow way down after the T hits the turn. PLO is still largely a game of the nuts, even HU, and Im not being that aggressive into a possible boat.i have a frustrating problem in HU PLO. In 6 tourneys in a row Ive had a 2500/500 or so chip lead and wasnt able to close it out. Anyone want to look at HHs? (I have at least the most recent one, though that may have been O8) -

I hate calling because it puts me in a very awkward spot if I miss on the turn. Any thoughts...

How does that change in a tournament situation? When we're playing 20 BB deep? Why the need to shove anything preflop when you're deep? Get in AAxx soooted every time. Get in your middle wrap type hands when there are two other guys in the pot (hoping they have AAxx and AAxx). Otherwise, just call and play poker postflop. When a guy 3bets you, he's probably going to fire the flop as well - you can get most of your stack in when you hit the flop, and just reload and move on when you don't. No need to get shove-happy preflop. In the specific hand you mentioned, why would you do anything BUT call a 3bet preflop? Run your equity against naked aces. Folding is too weak, and 4betting is putting money in the pot as a 'dog.http://www.propokertools.com/simulator/sim...amp;h4=&h5=Omaha Hi Simulation 600,000 trials (Randomized)Hand Pot equity Wins Ties 8tjq 39.41% 235,460 2,011 aa** 60.59% 362,529 2,011 -

Most people play sets like they're the absolute nuts. I like to think of sets as drawing hands. There will almost always be a possible straight or flush on the board by the river if the board doesn't pair. I say play a set as if you're drawing to a full house. I stack a lot of people with wraps vs. sets, and i've lost a ton of buyins with sets vs. a wrap. It's easy for holdem players to start playing PLO and think of a set as the absolute nuts. I tend to think of set as similar to top pair in holdem. A ver strong hand, but not necessarily the absolute nuts. Hope that's helpful.PLO's a great game. Good luck.

I say check behind on the river. You're seriously doubt a weaker hand will. But you could easily find yourself getting reraised on that board though. Little upside to betting-huge downside. I like what antistuff said earlier in the thread-it's easy to bet yourself out of the pot here. I vote for checking behind.
-
I just made the jump from $.10/$.25 to $.25/$.50 and i'm finding the players to be much more aggressive preflop. Opponents seem to be much more comfortable playing in reraised pots. If open with a hand like 8,10JQ from the cutoff and get reraised more than half the pot size by the button (fairly regularly) I absolutely hate the idea of smooth calling from out of position. Here's my question:What hand ranges should I be willing to shove with preflop when me and my opponents are sitting approximately 100BB deep.I hope that question is specific enough.
