  1. This is kind of an interesting hand.At first glance, I say just call. Now that I'm looking at it a bit more, I definitely say just call. Honestly, I'm more concerned with the BB calling in the blinds.Any stats on the button? I've seen lots of players (more recently) flat call in the blinds with AA. If he's just loose, he could be calling with 66-JJ.Is it too spewy to call here for set value? I don't really know what to do in these spots.Edit: I like Acid_Knights analysis. Thanks.

  2. I'm actually enjoying this thread. And I learned a new word."Jimmy furled all of his hundreds, so he could place it easily on 'black'."From urbandictionary.comfurl Another word for heroin. The heroin is placed in a piece of aluminum foil. Thus the name furl.I got 2 bags of that furl!

  3. Just because i emptied my roll, doesnt mean I "went broke".More like I realized that online play is sucha grind, I don't even enjoy myself when I'm playing. I only feel like I'm having fun when I'm playing for big money. I'm not gonna fool myself and grind it out and act like I'm having fun doing so. If I feel like playing I'll hit up the casino, or I'll depo some money and play a tourney here and there. I cant handle a bank roll online because the money doesn't even seem real to me. I'll take my shot every now and then, but I cannot play this game to my full potential when playing online.
Summary: Played outside of my BR and went broke. I watched Rounders again and and agree: I'm tired of grinding it out, because its like working. To the second bolded part, and I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but who gives a sh*t? No one cares that you 'hate grinding' or that you'll go to casinos when you feel like you're in the mood or that you suck at managing money. Tell us more about your feelings, please. Get a dog and talk to it or something.
  4. Ok, not really.I know a lot of people will say 'fold on the turn', but I felt like the bet he made was meant to try to take the pot away on the turn (as if i whiffed with AQ, QK). I felt like he could very well have 7s or 6s, if he had 9s or 10s I would be able to win it on the river with any reasonable bet.Is folding on the turn 'standard?' Should I have just repopped on the turn and went with my read?PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $2 BB (9 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)UTG+1 ($184.50)Hero ($251.70)MP2 ($104.10)MP3 ($222)CO ($205.05)Button ($197.55)SB ($222.75)BB ($146)UTG ($260.95)Preflop: Hero is MP1 with 8club.gif, 8heart.gif. 1 fold, UTG+1 calls $2, Hero raises to $8, 4 folds, SB calls $7, 1 fold, UTG+1 folds.Flop: ($20) Jdiamond.gif, 5heart.gif, 4diamond.gif(2 players)SB checks, Hero bets $13, SB calls $13.Turn: ($46) 2club.gif(2 players)SB bets $30, Hero calls $30.River: ($106) 3spade.gif(2 players)SB bets $120, Hero folds.Final Pot: $106Syntonic8: lol good river for pocket 6sAiP5: good readAiP5: ill tell you if you tell me what you had, i think you had jj or qqAiP5: j was out thereSyntonic8: i had a pair, but not Qs or Js

  5. I think the flat call on the flop is kind of silly. I mean, you're out of position, so you're going to lead out on the turn anyways. By reraising him on the flop you're putting in the same amount of money (about) here than you would on the turn. If he reraises you again / pushes, I would consider folding it, although it sounds like his range is huge; against a normal player it's an easy lay down imo.If he flat calls your reraise on the flop. Shovel on the turn.

  6. As an example, tonight I sat down to try a 2 buck 1700 player tourney. Sitting on the button with a9 off. mid position pops it to 80 bucks and I call look to outplay him. Flop j32 rainbow, had to miss his ak right? He bets pot, I pop it to 750 repping aces, and he pushes. Dammit!!!!!!!!!!! So much for playing position. Next hand want to get him back, pick up A2 off, he calls, everyone else fold, I pop it to 180, everyone folds he calls. Flop k 8 10 (2 spades). He bets out 20 bucks, I push, he calls with a8 spades. Brick turn and river and I am toast.
It sounds like you just play bad. Why would anyone believe you had aces there? Why get fancy with A2 when the blinds are seemingly so small? Villain flops a pair and a flush draw, standard call for him I think.Position is important, but you have to know when you play aggressive and who to play it against.
  7. Villain lost like 1.5 buy-ins already, and has shown some marginal hands. Do you think reraising the flop is a better play? or just fold on the flop? I hate folding to basically a min raise.PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $2 BB (8 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)SB ($202)BB ($202)UTG ($286.05)UTG+1 ($265.80)MP1 ($37)Hero ($296.75)CO ($31.80)Button ($172.45)Preflop: Hero is MP2 with Kclub.gif, Kheart.gif. 3 folds, Hero raises to $8, 1 fold, Button calls $8, 2 folds.Flop: ($19) Aclub.gif, Qdiamond.gif, Tclub.gif(2 players)Hero bets $10, Button raises to $22, Hero calls $12.Turn: ($63) Tspade.gif(2 players)Hero checks, Button bets $24, Hero folds.Final Pot: $63

  8. I fold river
Why? What do you put the villain on? I'm not sure if I believe a flush draw - I would think he'd play it a bit more aggressively, rather than just calling away his stack. You said he likes to play position. So I like the check on the turn to give him a chance to bluff at it, and I think he's probably calling with a middle pair - maybe he has a 6 too; possible a 10 with a bad kicker.Considering the river is relatively harmless (if you rule out a flush), I think it's safe to call here, considering stack sizes.I mean, it's a limped hand, why can't he have 5-6 or 10-5? I think you're ahead of a lot of hands. I call.
  9. Villain almost never has AA in this spot. This is almost always 66, in my opinion. You flat call his three bet on the flop, why would he just spew all in with QQ? Or better yet, why would he three bet QQ?You have to think about what he's thinking. He knows you're strong. He knows you have an overpair. A tight aggressive player has a set like 85% of the time here, and 4-5 sooted 10%.Fold.

  10. No real reads on this guy. Not 100% sure I made the right play here, what do you guys think?PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (8 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)SB ($90)BB ($58.55)UTG ($80.60)UTG+1 ($50.80)Hero ($44.95)MP2 ($13.70)CO ($45.50)Button ($67.75)Preflop: Hero is MP1 with Kdiamond.gif, Adiamond.gif. 2 folds, Hero raises to $2, 3 folds, SB calls $1.75, 1 fold.Flop: ($4.50) 6diamond.gif, Kheart.gif, Tclub.gif(2 players)SB checks, Hero bets $3, SB raises to $8.5, Hero calls $5.50.Turn: ($21.50) 9club.gif(2 players)SB bets $36, Hero folds.Final Pot: $21.50

  11. Wow, you are pathetic just for remembering that and who I was. Congrats on having no life. I check in every once in a while to see what is going on and see if anything has changed. I just can't believe that you guys say the same things day after day and never get sick of it. Today was the first day I logged in since Oct 30th. Just the same old unfunny jokes in thread after thread. Maybe I should try to get banned from this forum next. Bob, can you help me out with that?
When people make dumb threads, it's not uncommon for other people to click on their user profile to see other posts that person has made - so I doubt he just remembers things you have said. It can be insulting to dig up old things about a person, and in this case, funny.Second, you're getting worked up for no reason. People on the internet are more *******-ish (I mean look at yourself.) By even making responses like that, you're just baiting for more flames.Third, what's the point of your post? No one really cares that you have a problem with authority and get kicked off poker sites. My suggestion? If you want to play poker online, why don't you just play it instead of being a drama queen with support and other players?
