Hero raises to $1, 2 folds, BB raises to $3.35, Hero raises to $9, BB callsFlop: ($17.35) 6 , 3 , A (2 players)BB checks, Hero bets $9, BB calls $9.Turn: ($35.35) J (2 players)BB checks, Hero checks.River: ($35.35) 2 (2 players)BB bets $33.1 (All-In), Hero folds.BB is solid and aggressive. I've seen him 3-bet out of the blinds with medium pairs and AQo.
  2. preflop was my question really. i just get annoyed by spots like this because at 25nl this is almost never a positional 3bet.It usually means TT+ or AK so I will never get action when I outflop him.I consistenly bleed money in spots like this and I'm trying to figure out if theres anything I can do about it.

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) Full Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FCP)MP ($30.75)CO ($28.75)Button ($36.65)SB ($24.80)BB ($18.30)Hero ($24.65)Preflop: Hero is UTG with A , K . If we hit our flush do we lead or c/r?2. If we hit an A or K i'm assuming its a c/c.

CO is your typical full tilt 25nl tight passive nit, nothing special.
  5. what does raising to 14 accomplish?you've pretty much committed yourself to calling an all inand if he pushes over your c/r or calls you are f'ed anyways
  6. well yeah, thats why i bet the river, i don't think he can call with just one pair after i bet all three streetsif he does i'm making a note and getting his stack later

He rarely raised or reraised preflop. He would cold call like it was his job tho, so he played a ton of hands and often just called a raise with them preflop. I hadn't seen him
  8. i am trying to put him on a range of hands here and i simply can'twhat kinds of hands are u thinking?

I think probably folding preflop is best since its often difficult to figure out where you are at

His post-flop play was just as
  13. yeah i think he does too, but KK is one of the many hands he could have, besides a hand like this there aren't many hands that are going to bet the turn and call a c/r that i beat. so i think c/r is the worst of the three turn options (c/c, c/r, or b/f)
  14. not to be results oriented but I did want to give the results of the hand the button had KK. it is hard to tell whether he would have just called on the turn or pushed all in but i feel like if I would have bet the turn it would have given him a chance to make me make a bad fold somewhere in the hand.

  17. the word you are looking for is strengthon the turn if i push all in he's pretty much stuck and will find it hard to get away from AJ or most draws he has to call about 12 more to win 34
  18. what line do you prefer? because i know you picked raise the flop in the other post

  20. i agree with you on this but i also think all of the problem solving skills you gain through all of your classes to get a degree is incredibly important in having an engineering careermost of the analysis you do in school seems to be based on simplified models that aren't really practical to the real world because of so many other variables but i think its still important to understand the concepts. if you don't understand what i am saying i'm sure you have done a static anlysis problem where you assumed a beam to be rigid when in fact the beam has some deflection. but i still think you need
  21. not sure what i think of the flop but i do like the turn and the river, nh
  22. what types of hands or is this too general of a question to really give a good response?i do think with 100BB stacks a 4 bet is not a very good play.
  23. its rare that i 4-bet queens whether i'm in or out of position.i just don't find it to be a good play, you are announcing that you have a big pair and you are also opening yourself up to a really tough spot when you offer your opponent the chance to reraise again, which is never a +EV spot imo
