  1. 1) I live in upstate NY and it is now 30 degrees outside. When it was warmer I was running outside, hiking, and doing some other things occasionally (football, softball). 2) Now that is cold I've been trying to figure out how to keep active.3) I enjoy playing poker (NL SNGs) but I often feel lazy sitting in front of the laptop, watching TV, and playing tables.4) Even playing multiple tables the first few levels of a SNG do not require that much attention as I am only playing about 1 out of 5 hands and it takes one second to make each decision. So I realized that a great solution these facts is to exercise while gambling. I've got a barbell and some other weights in my room and I do sets, mix in some situps, drink water, and monitor the SNGs (either one table, or a couple tables in the early going). I just took down two SNGs, got third in another one, busted out 5th in one (KQ v. 33 preflop), and got some exercise. I'm putting this out there in case anyone in the FCP forum is concerned about similar things. flame away
I ran a 4 mile race in 14 degree weather this morning, my suggestion is...be a man and tough it out. 30 degrees isn't cold AT ALL!!!
no way truman st. got that cold today.
uhhhh, are you sure about that.....I can stone cold guarantee that it was 14 degrees at race time. Kirksville gets quite a bit colder than St. Louis, trust me. Today it was 17 for the high.
bizzare it was like 38 here today.

  4. what the hell ? No way this is the real Andrew Black. I doubt Andrew Black was say two words . He'd give a long paragraph explanation at least because the guy seems to like to talk. I can't see Andrew spending much time on the internet anyway because of the Buddhism religion that he's involved in or whatever that was.
Shut up b1tch I can meditate and look on Daniels forum at the same time.
  5. "I played perfect poker for three days" That Friedman guy was unreal. Like, seriously. He had the second nut flush on the hand. Unless I have the strongest read in the world, I would generally be hard pressed to fold it, too.But yeah, Andy Black looking so pained after the King hit on the turn to knock him out actually hurt me. The guy was absolutely destroying the table for a while, and then he was gone. Seems like a heck of a nice guy.
    I am.
Wouldn't it be funny if this actually was him?
    Hilarious.

  7. The only other thing I can come up with, and I'm not sure how it works or if IS could detect it, would be to remote access your PC at home.  That way, you wouldn't have to download the app to your work PC and that could possibly get around any network sniffers to see what you're doing.  I think it involves allowing permissions though from your home PC (IP addy's and such) and I just realized after typing all this that I have absolutely no clue what I'm talking about but rather regurgitating what my brother-in-law tried to explain to me drunk one night....
This is a good idea. Windows XP Pro is set up for this. They would not be able to detect you through network traffic since all traffic back to your home computer would be incrypted. However, the only risks are:a) Someone walking by seeing you... (obvious)B) a program that lets your company see your desktop. Some companies, especially more advanced ones have this kind of thing for the help desk. However, this is rare and I am not sure if they can see your desktop without your persmission first. That being said, I have never tried and don't try it unless you are sure.... finally don't get caught.
If this were happening you would know.
  8. I'm not a very superstititous person, buit i have certain little things in poker that i dont like to do. I'm always finding new things that i call 'unlucky' although, i dont know that it has no effect on the outcome on anything. I never like to play the 1st hand in any game. Try to never do it, but of course, when you have a good starting hand, im not folding it because of this. But if i have good pos, and a mediocre hand, one that might be cause for a limp, i wont do it.  I hate starting on the blinds, and i dont know why. I guess one thing is because if i start on BB, im probably playing the first hand, which is a no no. And i dont know, i just dont like it.  I also have a little toy animal from a kinder surprise or something, that brings me 'goodluck' lol. It sits ontop of my chips, and i like to think it brings me good luck. lol, Because, i need all the luck i can get!
I don't like to play the first hand either. Although coming into a game I do love to be the "Action" guy, just not on the first hand for some reason. Although like you, I'm not folding a good hand because of this, and also like you I most certainly will not limp with a mediocore hand, I'm either in for a raise or I fold. (Yea I OF my BB)
  9. I've been running into this thing.....the 3rd time I go all in, in a tournament...I lose the hand.Just the other day....my 3rd time going all in...I have KK....I go all in pre flop (all I had was about 3x the BB left in my stack).....button calls with 3 :club: 4 :D .....two 4's hit on the flop.....me go home.  I think the last 10 or so tournaments.....it was 3 and out.  The only tournaments that I have won...I only went in 2 times.  Now I'm actually nervous to go all in three times and it censors my play all up.  Damn you superstition.
i know u know but im gonna be a b1tch anyways.(all I had was about 3x the BB left in my stack).....
  10. what a jopke!! he has 3 chances to win the game for the NY Giants and misses ALL 3 field goals. Seattle wins 24-21. what a goat!
I'd take him over Jose Cortez........ and then Id take my grandpa.
  11. So you would pick-up a dollar bill even if some sweaty 75 yr old man dug it out of his sh1t?
lmaoWhy does it have to be a 75yr old man's sh1t? Does it become less disgusting if it's a 22yr old man's sh1t?
yea, 22yr olds have healthy bowel movements. I read it on the internet.
