  1. IMO, anyone who would "chase" a LAG, thinking or not, significantly outside of their BR is a fish. If I were a shark, I'd look for the better players to reel into the higher stakes. The "better" players (who would be willing to follow me) are the ones with the bigger egos who may not be able to preserve their BR and walk away after a few losses. They'd have to stay until they proved themselves the superior player. Especially to a woman fish! Then again, it may just be some moron who ran good and built a 10/20 BR overnight. You may very well be the superior player. That doesn't mean you will win. Biggest winners at my tables are (more often than not) the so called "fish". I dunno about you but I play 2/4 an my BR couldn't handle more than a few bad beats at 10/20....and I'd be playing scared. It's not like I would be able to hang around and wait for variance to do it's thing. No guarantees that fishy will either. How far can you go safely? How much of your BR are you willing to risk? Determine how much you are willing to lose. Can you stick to that limit or will ego rule?

  2. Here come the ban nazi's again. Though his comment may be racist, it is not definitely so. Perhaps he is making a sociological point, referring to society's want for positive black role models thereby elevating people whom they would not normally do so. Or perhaps he's some Hitler worshipping Neo-Nazi? Point is, who are you to decide when there is definitely some room for interpretation?
wtf???Jen Harman's overrated because she's a woman. That Doyle is too damn old to think much less play well. He's overrated.OP stated that in his opinion Ivey is "overrated". Why would one consider Ivey to be overrated? Because he's black. OP's own words. They call that line of thinking racist in my liberal neck of the woods. FWIW OP doesn't know what the word "sociological" means much less have the ability to initiate thought provoking converstation on the topic of race.Going against the grain for the sake of not being one of the sheep does not make one a free thinker. You need to think before you can think freely.I'll take some more kool-aid tyvm.
  3. :club::D I'm still trying to figure out how stuff gets from tv to youtube. You mean something like this? http://www.getdemocracy.com/ (bad name it has nothing to do with politics - more a distributed youtube sorta thing.)And uhm and "frankly" maybe consider a website redesign to start? I visited, clicked on something that spewed quasi obnoxios gibberish at me for longer than I wanted to listen which pissed me off so I left. :D
  4. Not that I want to start pandemonium, but I know through having several contacts involved in state gaming that in turn are putting pressure on the federal government, then my FBI friend told me that as of October 1, 2006 the FBI is tracking all off shore banking/internet gaming sites, including all players and all money transactions made through legal or illegal means (i.e. Neteller, Fire Pay, Visa, MC, etc.).
Damn. They have the FBI tracking what's it like 7 million transactions a year - what's the number? No wonder they can't catch terrorists and pedophile Senators. They're too busy tracking college kids playing .05/.10NL.BTW, AFAIK the FBI only has domestic jurisdiction. Wouldn't the tracking of foriegn transactions be relegated to the CIA? And so like your friend is that deep in the FBI that's he'd know something like this and uhm he's so deep in that he'd tell you?Has OP been banned yet?
  5. Who else is jumping ship? I'm printing out this entire thread (and others like it) and faxing it to Frist and all the FAUX News': http://www.fair.org/index.php?page=111Nashville:Office of Senator Bill Frist28 White Bridge RoadSuite 211Nashville, TN 37205615-352-9411615-352-9985 (fax)Mailing Address:Republican National Committee310 First Street, SEWashington, DC 20003 Phone Numbers:Comment Line & GeneralInformation: 202.863.8790Phone: 202.863.8500Fax: 202.863.8820 Email Addresses:General Information:info@gop.com

  6. Not that, for 12M I wouldn't be tempted to just stfu but...Yes, for two reasons - first of all it's not a win if I win.Secondly, if I don't tell someone, sooner or later someone will probably find out. Even if I never admitted to it, there would be those who said I knew of the mistake yet I didn't say anything. I wonder what will happen if they find out Gold got the chips. So, if I don't tell someone, I'm a loser, a liar, and cheater.

  7. OMG no way could he do a women only thing. If he did that we'd have 20 "DN is gay" threads!Seriously though, I do understand the want of a girls only kinda thing. I tire of the constant "I'd stick it in her" (as if she'd let you!! LMAO ) in the middle of a hand analysis. Might be part of the reason why there are apparently so few women here and elsewhere. The atmosphere is certainly not a friendly one most of the time. It's a guy thing I guess.IMO being a woman at the table can sometimes be an advantage. I too would be offended by a girls only thing. And Like Mrs C, I have no problems beating the boys up at the tables. At the tables men and women, old and young, beauty and the beast are all equals. The only thing that counts are one's abilities. Hard to find that anywhere else these days.

  8. Eh how often does a boat or quads shove on that turn when opponent has shown willingness to come along? Soon as he pushes he pretty much says "I've got crap or a draw." The shove was even worse than the call. Not the best board bluff at - did he stop to consider wtf his opponent was calling with aside from a FD?

  9. - My opponent is tricky, and can easily push me off the best hand with a c/r on the turn
...or the river!A check on the turn woulda been OK (not good..just OK and probably wrong lol) if you had checked the river as well after villian didn't bluff at it. You showed weakness yet he didn't bet at the pot on the river - which I would expect. Betting this river with this pot gets you little imo. If you're ahead he folds. If you're behind you get the c/r.I don't think the lay down is all that horrible - the pot's small. Kinda stupid for villian to bluff c/r this small a pot- unless he can be fairly sure you'll fold. Given you showed weakness on the turn with the check this may be exactly what he's doing. I agree that ordinarily villian will bet most hands that beat you on the river. However, the pot is only 2BB and he may be hoping you take a stab at it so that he can c/r with almost anything given your signaling weakness on the turn. Bet the turn. If he's drawing why give him a free card to beat you?? If you think a c/r means you're beat then you can fold - the pot's small, again, no big loss there. Betting the river indicates you thought you were ahead on the turn (busted draw/A high) so checking the turn would be wrong - unless you wanna slowplay- which you can't here given draws and your 3rd (?) best hand and the too small a pot. You don't want to signal weakness and encourage a bluff unless you have a decent hand and can call a river bluff profitably. I'm not sure you can here.
  10. What kind of hands do you give him here
Has he been aggressive at all? How loose/aggressive have you been thusfar? Is he even paying attention? How many times has someone tried to steal his blinds? The fact that he has no hands to SD is troubling but over how many hands is that and what type of player(s) was he up against? When he caps I have to put him on something - if he's weak/tight, I think he's more likely to cap 2pr or TP rather than a draw. If he's shown prior aggression or your read is over a limited number of hands, then a draw is possible as well. The typical/average player likely raises PF with high cards or mid-high pair in this spot so I'm not putting him on QJ. A made straight is the only hand I fold to at this point and since I'm not psychic......
    and should I continue?
What was your plan when you 3 bet? Did you intend to fold if he capped? Did you think his intial raise was a bluff/semi-bluff? If so, then so was the cap! If I had wanted to fold this I would have done it PF or after the first raise. You'd have to have a strong read to fold this for one more SB I think.
