This is much like the blackhole theory with the Information Paradox, that the observed falling into a black hole would experience nothing, but to the observer the observed will ripped apart, ionised etc. Thus meaning you can be both dead and alive at the same time.

Yeah I know, just playing.I know where you are coming from, and although S'n'Gs can get boring as hell, you don't get such extreme swings in income. If I bust out in a ring game due to a bad beat, I can rebuy right away and quite possibly lose more cash on tilt (this is hypothetical, not something i'd do), with S&Gs when you bust out you can sit back, calm yourself down, analyse your play and identify your mistake(s) much more easily before comitting more money.It wasn't a direct reply to you. It was more a point about how in the UK you don't have to play 15/30 cash games to make a decent living. In response to your question i believe that to make a stable living u have to develop a good cash game. Believe me, playing sit 'n' go's all day can get very tedious. Especially when u get outdrawn and finish on the bubble a few times. -

I can do both, I can play 12 low stake S&Gs at once, or I can play a single high stake at a time. I am perfectly aware of the huge skill difference, I watched the players on the high stakes tables for hours before I decided to sit down with them- I'm not some ignorant successful $5 S&G player."...Sitting on my computer I'm right beside my 65 inch TV, " You are earning too much.On a serious note, it must be tough for Americans to make a living playing poker. Hetre in the UK if u can turn say $300 a day u are quite well off. After all, it is all tax free and we get free health care. Sorry just thought i'd rub it in. -
I see people playing 10+ low buy-in S&Gs at once to make a living and some people win/place well in about 6 high buy ins to make a living. I'm more interested in why people go for one or the other.

I only know that I want it to be in tournament format. I could play multiple small stake S&Gs (5/10/20 maybe $30) at once, where its easier to get into the money or I could play a few higher stake S&Gs (100,200 $500) which are harder to get into the money with but would take less time.What are peoples views on this? -

I know I can make money in both cases, because I have done both. I'm just not sure what most people would take as a preference.

LOL.And while your on the phone, ask them what paragraph A says on a notice of levy and see how fast he hangs up on you.If he doesn't hang up on you then ask him why paragraph A has been omitted and then ask if he were to mail one to your employer or bank without paragraph A, then wouldn't that be mail fraud?I bet he/she will hang up then. If he/she hasn't hung up by this time, ask them who owns the Federal Reserve Bank. Then ask does a federal reserve note meet the qualifications of money as written in the US constitution? I doubt you'll get that far, but good luck.If your gonna ask these questions, do not call them from your house. Use a pay phone. Don't be stupid. No it is a good point. Computers can only make the correct decision for sure when they either have the best possible hand or they have access to their opponents hand (and if humans had that we could just play ourselves). Thing is, as AI develops the fact you don't know the opponents hand can be worked around. If a bot was written with the newest available AI technology it would store every hand your opponent was in and what they did, the bot could deduce their current hand (or have an idea of its strength). It would then act in the correct way (if it remembers the last time that the player raised 6 times the BB PF and then raised to 6BB at the flop and ended up having hit a monster on the flop, it would then fold on the flop). Of course this becomes more difficult when a player REALLY mixes up their play, making it indistinguishable to previous play (other wise the bot could still pick up on patterns). The bot would play the player and not its cards.Many AI algorithms out there are at least somewhat based on the idea that your opponent will make the best move he has available to him, thus you can decide what to do based on that.The minimax algorithm, for example, given a number of levels of depth, finds your best move, then the opponent's best move given that, then your best move given that, and using a fun sign switch finds the best path through the resulting tree.Can't do that with poker. You need full information to do that.I know there are other algorithms out there that can function on less than full information, of course, but this is just an example.Computers can come close to "solving" certain games, but poker isn't one of them, because the information isn't all out there.Sorry for the long and unintelligable post. -
I can't answer question 2 because I don't understand what you mean by ego. If it is a bot, they would play against Daniel to further improve startergy so the play of the bot can be varied.But he is not a bot.
Ok, you might have answered question one, i really don't know enough about the computers side, and whether it really is possible to beat the best with these programs, although, personally, from what i know, i don't think it is. But what about question 2?And i'll add another question, from the looks of thigs, DreamClown has been beating these limits for a while, so if they have easy money else where, why are they bothering with Daniel?

I don't think there is much of an answer for this, because, do you think people would put this much money in the hands of a bot, without any assurance that it is going to work? As much as you'd like to think that, there are bots that sit at the high limits on Party Poker, Full Tilt and Poker Stars that make huge profits. If there is a good programmer behind it all you are stuffed. They work for years (and sometimes in teams) to perfect them.As artificial intelligence expands even the pros will be beatable.there is no way a bot could ever beat a human, let alone......as much as i hate to complete this sentence... dn
