  1. What's up y'all. Was working on a transfer with HoosierAlum and realized I hadn't posted here in forever.Anyway, it's kinda lame to only come in when I have reason to brag, but after trying to go on my own a little short-rolled in January and losing all my money, I found a new staker in February and within a week finished 2nd in the Sunday Million for 143K. So yeah, I'm looking pretty good right now with enough of a roll of my own to play 10/20 PLO considering how rarely the games are good that high. I post on 2+2 about 100x more than I post on FCP now, but this is where I first got serious about poker so good luck to all of you!

  2. Haven't posted here in a while, but I thought I'd post my graph of the last 9 months. 2009-to-date.jpgAs you see, I'm in a pretty extended downswing. Basically, here's how my problems started:Game quality goes down at 3/6+ 6-max --> I start playing more HU/cap --> I lose money because I suck at HU/capHowever, I've been staked through pretty much the entire graph, and I've got enough money together that I think I should be able to play 2/4 on my own, so that's kind of my plan at the moment. There's still a ton of soft 6-max games at that level, and my stats on regular 6-max are still really good, even over the last few months when I've been losing. As long as I can get enough money together right off the bat and run OK while I play underrolled, I should be fine. (Currently have 2K of my own online, 5K I'm owed online that I expect to get paid in the next week, 10K offline, and 5K I'm owed offline that I have no idea if I'll ever get paid.)I suppose if I were smart, this would be a good time to start putting out videos and try to get more coaching at $400/hr.

  3. God, I'm starting to hate poker right now. Here's my October graph: octugly.pngNotice that on this graph, my winrate's actually -2.8 PTBB/100, meaning that I'm down < 10 BI on the month. However, I've been winning at 3/6 and 5/10 while getting destroyed at 10/20 and 25/50 cap. Also, the 25/50 cap is just about the softest game on Full Tilt and I've been game selecting really strictly on it so it's not like I'm "not good enough" to beat those stakes or something, I'm just running awful when I play there. (Obv not on all-ins, but missing flops, getting coolered, etc.)

  4. Well, deducting my cash game losses, I finished the month +66K. That was still on a 50/50 split, but I'm leaving most of my winnings online so I'll have 75% of my action starting in October, and hopefully all of it in the not too distant future.

  5. With the swings that you have, how are you handling yourself mentally?
Really well actually. I've gotten to the point that I rarely tilt and if I do, it's not some all-encompassing thing where I'm going crazy for a whole session, I usually just play more hands for 10 or 15 minutes, maybe throw in one bad bluff or bad call on the river.
  6. For all of you who don't feel like checking the rail call thread, I made a deal 3-handed for 106K and then ultimately finished 3rd when we played it out for 10K more and the bracelet. This is 3x better than any previous tournament cash and almost 3x better than my best cash game session.

  7. Hey, sorry I haven't checked in for a while. During football season, I've got about 10 extra websites I check ahead of FCP. I only bet $200-$500 a game most of the time, but it's a nice distraction when I'm sick of poker.Anyway, I don't feel like posting graphs or anything, but I'll just say that I finished August up ~15K and then have been getting crushed in September. Down about 40K at the moment. Did things like win $15K off of someone HU at 5/10, then agree to move up to 10/20 with them and lose 25K there. Anyway, I finally decided that HU's too swingy and my edge there is really small if I even have one, so I'm going back to just playing 6-max for the time being.

  8. On to August, here are my goals:1) Play 30K hands: I want to make sure I actually do this this time. I've been consistently missing my hand goals lately, but since I'm taking no trips this month, and should have a new setup soon, I'll have no excuses this time around. Well, actually the fact that I'm moving (just across town) in a couple weeks is a pretty decent excuse and should eat up some time, but I'm still shooting for 30K and I think I can do it.
Just reached this goal. Unfortunately if I was in a better mindstate, I probably would have waited until tomorrow to get over the hump instead of putting in an 1800 hand session against a pretty decent reg at 10/20 and losing $25K. Here's a graph of all 30K hands:30Khands.png
  9. New biggest pot I've ever played. Always nice when you can get your 50.1% favorites to hold up. 10. Just a little reminder that when playing HU PLO, most of your winnings will come from your opponents' tilt. Villain in this hand was a solid reg who's a little on the nitty side:
