  1. HiVacation was goodAll hell broke loose at work while I was gone. Our VP of Sales (my direct boss) is gone, our office manager is gone (been here 10+ years).Lost 2 HUGE clients that make up about 10% of our companies sales while I was gone.

  2. WOWCertainly a 'smart move' by Ivey and he is definitely separating himself from the situation and is trying to avoid legal action himself by being associated with FullTilt and basically claiming he was just a patsy/pawn that was used and abused and had no idea that fulltilt was operating illegally in the US and they didnt have the funds in a separate account (even though it clearly states on full tilts websites the player funds are not segregated from their operating funds.)Three biggest things that popped out to me:1) $150,000,000+ in damages of reputation, lost income, reputation defamation, humiliation, etc. :club:bjBHFT4DPr96jmc_KNUZ.png2) Talk about throwing Fulltilt under the bus (rightfully so maybe), but to 'play dumb' that you didn't know online poker was illegal in the US when you are one of the biggest poker pros in the world on one of the largest online poker sites in the world is just kinda silly.unmZ9XZwaORlZHJ0_Uwh.png3) This made me laugh:eLpmSy0hLsgxExYI69Wr.png
  3. What's on the travel itinerary?
Pretty laid back, few days at the condo resort which has everything from a mini water park, play area, pools, recreational activities etc. Gonna drive up a couple days to Daytona Beach, do Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure/Harry Potter World for 2 days. Not sure if I posted in here or not, but this condo resort was a Christmas gift from our brother.
  4. I'm really liking Barry Greenstein's team :club:
Fairly shocking that Barry didnt know this ahead of time as close as those two are. Hard to think this was a 'last minute decision'. Sure he had to put a ton of thought into this and had time to talk to lawyers and see what his options were.
  5. It has just been announced that Peter Jackson will be producing the Hobbit and a sequel. I don't really know what the sequel will be, but I am looking forward to the Hobbit. Jackson made the Lord of the Rings a great trilogy and I am glad that he will produce the Hobbit so we can get a similar feel of Middle Earth like in Lord of the Rings.Unfortunatley, it isn't coming out until 2010.Any ideas what the sequel will be?http://www.cinematical.com/2007/12/18/brea...t-and-a-sequel/

  6. So they are filming right now in Italy. I'm an avid TMZ reader and just by some of the headlines that have been going through there the last week or so this could be another epic season. Two spoilers from TMZ:

Ronnie fucks up the Situation over some Ronnie/Sam situation when the Sitch gets his shit in the middle of it. Pictures of the Sitch's face all red and beat up.Snooki runs into a cop car while driving (supposedly no alcohol involved but she was detained for a brief periodSet to air later this year. Can't wait!

  7. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110526/ap_en_..._idol_contractsI thought the winner of Idol got $1,00,000.00. It says here that they get significantly less than that.Unless I am reading this wrong and this money is for the record deal on top of the $1MM to the winner.
I know each of the top 10 (11 this season) 'ONLY' gets $1,000 each per show they do on the live tour. That seems like an insanely low amount? but I guess it beats a real summer job.Other parts of their contract say:In addition to the $1,000-per-concert -- the documents show each finalist will share in merchandise profits from the tour ... and will also receive $50 in spending cash for non-concert days.Finalists are also guaranteed to stay in "Marriott/Hyatt style" hotel accommodations while on the road -- and will fly coach between tour stops.
  8. I think Lauren and Scotty may have a little thing. He said I love you baby at the end and kissed her. He said they have been through this together and will stay together. Who knows, speculation as platonic friends say I love you as well I guessMy thoughts, predictable ending. Scotty didn't even have a top 5 voice out of the final 12, but whatever.I thought the Tim McGraw duet was one of Scotty's best songs to date.Loved Lady GaGaLOVVVVVVVVVED Steven TylerLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVED J Lo shakin dat assDurbin and Judas was pretty cool, imagine that had to be a dream come true for him, was nice to see him have that experience.I know Scotty was all emotional at the end, but by God that was the worst final song EVERRRRR, just terrible. He wouldnt have even made it through auditions if he sang like that.Pretty cool star power. Tony Bennett was awkkkkwardTom Jones was a bit sadEnough of Beyonce. Pretty sure TLC was lipsynching, they never got up close to them and the sound was awfully 'crisp'Carrie Underwood is still hotFinal thought: I have tickets to the American Idol concert and I am going to be PISSSSSSED if the concert is full of a bunch of their group chorus broadwayish song and dance BS. I HATE their group crap. Some of the duets are pretty good, but hoping they all do individual songs during the concert.

  9. seems like the optimal strategy is:1. bid late at night2. pick a big $ item that you want, and are willing to spend a lot of money on. perhaps even full retail in the worst case scenario3. focus on this one item, do not bid on multiple auctions4. never stop bidding5. watch the other auctions to see when similar items are ending. ie. if 50" TV's usually go for around $200, start bidding around $190, if it sells cheaper, good for the winner, there will always be another.even if you bid 1000 times, it cost you $600, which should still be a good deal on the item you are bidding on, you just have to stick with it. the big losers are the ones that try to cherry pick good deals all over the place and end up spending $50-$100 on bids, never winning anything, and then give up.
agree, wonder if there is a way to search similar items to see what they have been selling for and graph that into times of day/days of the week etc to help determine when the best time to start bidding on a particular item would be.50" 3D LCD TV for $300-$400 is a pretty damn good deal
  10. we did not have power at house last night cause of storms so missed it and DVR obviously didn't pick it up.Summary?I'm guessing it was something like: Scotty and Alaina sang some country songs and Steve Tyler said it was really really good or perfect or unbelievable or he loved it; Randy said someone was in it to win it and Jennifer tried to give some constructive comments while looking back at her notes several times and looking incredibly hot. Probably a guest celebrity singer and Ryan seacrest reminding everyone to vote and tune in tomorrow (tonight) for the live results show where there will also be some more guest celebrity singers and the new american idol will be crowned.
