I hate how people look at the Liberals/NDP and say; we can't vote for them -- "think of the debt we will put on the children". While at the same time with a straight face are all for tax cuts that will do nothing deficit and programs being gutted across the board.
Harper sucking up to Ford was the last straw for me federally for the Conservatives and there's no way I can vote for them provincially -- and yes I would for them with most leaders.
It is a constant source of amazemebt to me that conservatives (provincially, federally, in the US) continue to have the reputation as fiscally conservative, when their recent governments have generaly had bigger budget deficits than their liberal counterparts, and in pretty much every case had bigger effective deficits, since trickle-down is a joke.
I mean, Ford is going to win this election because people hate the NDP is going to waste their money on education, health and social supports while pretending that Ford will save them billions by cutting taxes and with absolutely no plan for saving any money. I know a lot of smart people who think this way and I consider it a personal failing that I can’t even begin to understand how they rationalize this.
In other news, I still haven’t found a single person to tell me why they think Wynne is corrupt or why they hate her so much. I will say this “we admit we’re not going to win but vote for us to stop Ford” is pretty much the worst and most cynical, cowardly political message I’ve ever heard.
