My flight is scheduled to land in Toronto at 8 pm Eastern. Hopefully the pregame sheananigans will take an hour so I can get in front of a TV in time to watch the game.

Well, this is the greatest hockey experience of my life...

Holy crap, I'm going to game 5. Of the Stanley Cup Finals. In Vegas.   What world am I living in?!?!?!?

Still thinking and smiling about being at game 5. I was really conflicted if it was worth all that money, but some good friends convinced me to do it, and frankly I had won the money in a hockey pool,

Man, that's really awesome. I'm really happy for you that you were able to experience that.

Arp, where were you when Alexander Ovechkin won his Stanley Cup?

Section 216, row E, seat 9

Then when Ovie and his father held the Cup together, I was 3/4 rows away from penalty box. Got a couple of shots. I had gone down with some Caps fans who had been sitting with me, so I joined the sea of red.

My friend was gambling at MGM when Ovie and his crew walked in with The Cup. He has a great video, unbelievable.

My other friends had a table at Hakkasan. They suddenly got lowered to a smaller table because the Caps and their friends and families took the best 8 tables in the club, and pretty much took it over with the Cup in tow. Lol.

Also, I cried at the end of that game. I was sitting with some serious diehard Vegas fans and suddenly some of them started to cry and you couldn't help but be sad for them. Two of them were survivors of the shooting in October, and you could just tell, this team was a big part of the healing process for these people. Also, the fans by and large were sooo classy. Lots of congrats and handshakes and hugs by fans.

So much more. I can't even imagine how this would feel if it was my team.

Hours after this game, we all heard the news about Bourdain, and his books in many ways changed my life+my desires to reach for experiences in life.

As a good friend said to me last night, life is pretty much fcked 8 ways until Sunday. Find any happiness you can.

Life is way too short guys, the next time you have a decision like I had, just go for it. Enjoy it while you can!

So true. Life is about experiences and memories. Money means nothing at the end of the day. My dad lived his life that way. Some people would talk and say why do you have to travel to overseas 2-3 times a year? Well he enjoyed his life and ended up dying relatively young and I’m glad he experienced all the places and memories he had. Time is something we don’t have a lot of. We need to enjoy every minute. I’m glad you experienced that.

I’m really impressed how they corrected the huge mistake they made with Tatar. Man the Habs keep getting worse.

How did the Habs get worse with this trade?

I think as a pure hockey trade we are looking at Pax vs Tatar..I dont think its close..Overall trade with Suzuki and the fact they basically had to trade him, doesnt mean its a bad overall trade..However the Habs are not a better team today after the trade.

I don't know what "pure" hockey trade means. Habs aren't looking to challenge this season. In the grand scheme of things they are better off after making this trade.

I dont think we are disagreeing per se..Pure hockey trade means whose team is better today on the ice after the trade and whose got worse.

Hockey trade is a stupid term and it’s barley applicable. A “hockey trade” is trading a D for an F with a team with the opposite needs as you. Reality is teams don’t operate in single season vacuums.

What does Barley have to do with anything?
