DN has told me that he does not like to play in Canada. He did not say that specificaly about this event however. I believe as a fellow Canuck he would have some serious tax/immigration implications to deal with. My question had been in reference to a BC event but his answer was about playing in Canada in general.

You're way off on this one Derswick, the reason Daniel hasn't played tournaments in Canada is due to fact that until recently there haven't been any tournaments large enough to warrant Daniel making a trip for them.Daniel has no problems with taxes or immigration in either Canada or the US.The WPT event in Niagara as far as I know is on Daniel's planned schedule.

I don't think Derswick made shit up.I think he took what Daniel said about not being interested in playing in Canadian tournaments in the past and was mistaken about the reasons for it.

FYI I asked DN about playing in Canada when he was playing on FCP. He stated that he rearly played in Canada and ther were some issue which he did not elaborate on. As well that he did not have any plans at the time to be playing in any Canadian tournements. Just tried to pass on the imformation he gave when asked.
