1. This was the 2nd hand I was dealt, I bought in for 300.I was in the Hijack with KK(diamond/club) and made it 8 to go after 1 player limped early.-Button, Small Blind, Big Blind, and the Limper called.Flop: 2 J 10 with two diamondsChecked to me I bet 15 (maybe I should bet more?)Small Blind raised to 50, others folded.I called. (maybe I should 3-bet?)Turn: 4 of diamondsI check out of turn (80% because im a moron/20% the button was between him and the guy who was actually the button so I thought the small blind was the button) and Small blind bets 100Hero??2. A few hours into the night sitting with ~700:In UTG+2 with AAUTG makes it 15, UTG+1 calls, I make it 45 to go. UTG calls UTG+1 folds.Flop: 2 K 5 rainbowUTG checks, I bet 50, UTG raises to 100, I call (Putting him on AK and wanting to let him hang himself, but maybe I should 3-bet)Turn: 6UTG bets all in for 260, Hero?? (UTG hasn't been very active but about 20 hands before this he moved all in on the river of a dry board with AJ high for about 200 forcing a player with QQ to fold)

For the first hand i think you need to bet more on the flop, with 5 people in for $8 and a draw heavy board i think you have to bet at least 3/4 of pot, so maybe $30-50. As played its kind of hard to figure out where you are, SB could have 1010,JJ, 10-J or even 22 or just a flush draw so if you're going to raise it has to be big, probably about 100 more and then if he goes over top you have another tough decision. I think the call is ok but it makes you look weak. The 4d is a bad card and then when you checked out of turn you're begging to get raised. I think its close but i would fold here, you have $58 in the pot and its going to cost you the rest of your money to figure out where you are. Second hand, If you put him on AK than what made you change your mind after a 6 came? I think you should have raised the flop, if he has AK he's probably going to hang himself anyway and if he has a set of 2s 5s or Ks i think you need to pay him off, i think he's reraising kings preflop with another player in the hand though. Based soley on these 2 hands it seems like you have a somewhat passive image, but i'm only looking at 2 hands. If this guy sees you as passive he might very well be making a play. I think i call the turn.

I was playing similar game last night at a local casino.I usually play my premium hands strong. My bets pre-flop range from $12-$25.I go into the mentality is that if I'm going to get involved and others want to join, were playing for stacks.(and I'm not surprised that I still get callers, not going to have a weak mentality in thinking "don't want to scare anyone off)So in hand #1. I would've made it $15, and in that flop I would've over potted, since theirs a draw out their, and has def. hit someone. If c/r (depending on the player, I would push all in or fold)Hand #2If I put this player on "AK" I wouldn't of played it tricky, simply as straightforward as can be and that is Pushing my stack towards to middle.side note: From what I observed at my table from certain players that would attempt to be "tricky" is that, they will check their TP medium kicker. And would simply call with their 2nd nut flush, or check their flush ect.. In other words not maximizing the value of their hand. Thats the thing I have been working on, reality is I only see approx. 30 hands an hour. whenever I do have a hand, I need to max the value of the hand, to the fullest! And simply play straightforward, and raise with medium strength hands in position to (1) pick up the blinds or (2) get it heads up, and usually pick it up with a 1/2 pot cont. bet (if I miss hehe < I guess thats a tell)

First hand, PF needs to be stronger and three bet the flop. Second hand, you have to call. You just have to.

Hand 1: Bet the flop bigger. If you play it like you did and didn't 3bet the flop, call or shove the turn depending on how much he has.Hand 2: Uh, instacall the turn. If he has you beat, I can't figure out by what.Oh and don't post more than one hand in a single topic, it detracts people from focusing on that specific hand.

Thats pretty much what I did. He had KK. I also thought he would've reraised PF. I suppose there is no getting away from it.somewhat interesting side note: Another player claimed to have folded 22 to my PF reraise. He would have also flopped his set. Seems like I was meant to lose this pot.
