Ok, this is a little story, just meant for fun.Fair warning, read only if you are bored, really bored probably, and like reading about other people's losses.OK, so I go over to my cousins house to watch a show with her and her family cause she was on some home design show doing a design or whatever. I get outta there around midnight, and come home. I'm really tired and just planning to go to sleep, but I usually like to watch some HU games before I do finally go hit the sheets (or I may play). But tonight I felt too tired to play so I was just watching my buddy play a little. He was playing $200 NLHE HU, and waiting for a game after his first match broke up. Some clown sits in with like $50, and my buddy is like, $100 or no game, etc..etc..this goes on for like 15 minutes, and finally I'm like, man, I'll just sit in a table to distract this idiot and get my buddy a table seat open.So I say something to this jerk with the $50, and he sits in my table. I bs him a little bit, just distracting him or whatever, and finally I'm like ok, I'm going to sit in the first hand and just move in and then sit out.I was going to do this with any two cards, but I got 10s, so I was even pleased to do so, well he calls with A3o and spikes an Ace. I'm like greeeeeeeeeat. I really didn't wanna play, but I was like, this guy is a joke and won't last long.Next big all in, I still have him covered, I flop as straight, he flopped a set (which he played horribly), and we get it all in on the turn. The river boats him up and all of a sudden I've dubbed this guy up twice. I kinda stare at the computer and am like, damn. Now it's on.Now this guy was a true HU donkey. He called down with everything, and i found out the hard way, by bluffing off chips. One hand in particular I recall. I have JTs, he had K9o, he min raised preflop (he always did) after I complete the blind, flop was A78 with two clubs. He bet $8, an amount I read as weak comparing his past hands, and raised to $28. He called $20 more and I decided to complete my "bluff" and bet the turn. I bet $55 and he called. The river came and once again he checked, this time I bet $100, into a pot of about $165 -$75 or so. He quickly called with K9, 9c, his flush raked, and I rebuy. This is where I felt the steaming feeling you get when you are playing hu and just not running well, and now not playing well.Eventually I realize I'm stuck $500 - $550 to this guy and am like wow, please don't quit me, just don't quit me, just don't quit me. I tried to refocus myself, get back on my game, and just grind out small pots and hopefully catch him with a few big hands he'd overplay, as he hated folding. This worked out pretty good, I did pull out a few smaller bluffs, nothing to big, just working off his betting patterns, but finally I pick up a hand and try to trap him.I complete the sb with QQ and he min raises, again, in the bb. He had done this multipleeeeeeeeeeee times, and had called huge raises with hands like 89o, and then called down with a 9 on board against heavy betting of mine from like KQ or AK that I failed to improve on. I think I re-raised to like $35, which he called $31 more. The flop sucked big balls. KJJ, never a fun flop for QQ, but with his range I wasn't going to muck it. We somehow get it all in here, and he shows 77. He fails to improve and I double through him. Finally getting back on track.I grind him and grind him and grind him. I then pick up JJ in the sb and once again limp, he again min raises, and this time I move all in. He quickly calls with 88 and once again I double through him. Now I have him outchipped and am looking to hopefully get completely unstuck.I looked like I was going to bust him with 45o vs his 99 on a 45x flop we got all in. But he rivered a better two pair and doubled up for about $65, to $130 or so.I once again grind him down to $50, his original and sit out. At this point, we've been playing over 2 hours and my eyes hurt, my neck is cramped, and I feel this weird sense of stupid irony in how this all got started, as a joke. Granted, I could have quit after the first all in I lost, but man, who'd have thought that just from that one hand I'd get stuck for $550 and then 2 hours later, thankfully be back to "even". Although I was still stuck about $60 to rake.Well, he gets more money, and buys in for the full amount, $200. I'm think to myself, bed or take the rest of his money...$$We play for about another 30 minutes, I get him down low, he gets up...highest he got was to $280, but again I grind that down, and then the killer hand.He has about $180 and min raises me, againnnnnnnnnn. I called with K8.Flop was 886, I checked, he checked. That was weird, he usually bet $2 on every flop he raised. This was how he played his very first set on me, very "weak" although he was so strong.Back to the hand, on the turn A, he bets out $14, at this point I'm hoping he either has Ax or maybe 8x, which would be unlikely. I decided to pull a real "nub" move and min raise to $28, to see his reaction. He instantly min raised me back, I pushed, he called with 85, which finally failed to suck out on me with. All said and done, I walked away with like $150 profit.LOL.That's my story. Don't joke around with poker. The "gods" have a funny way of kicking you in the *** when you do, and then you have to really work to get it back.Bleh. It's 6:00am and I'm going to sleep now.- Jordanand I warned you, so I won't be accepting flames. nite nite.

Wow, just think what that guy must be going through. He's probably killing himself for not getting up when he was up $500. Was there much trashtalking going on during the match?PS damn I am bored... but what the hell else am I going to do at work?

I read it because I "like reading about other people's losses" but then you didn't even lose in the end - what a fraud.
Well, there was a loser in the story. Perhaps not the one you wanted, but we can't always luck out. Congrats on the win, Jordan.

I liked it. It reminded me of another thought I had. There should be a heads up forum somewhere on here. I have playing a lot of heads up lately, I am sure talking to others would help my game. anyway, not trying to hijack, I dug the story.

Yes, we should have a heads-up forum. PM admin and FCP info, Patty, etc... to request one. Also check outhttp://www.fullcontactpoker.com/poker-foru...topic=53502&hl=Jordan, good storythe BLEH at the end was the best part :club: owise1

In my insomniac ramblings, I f'd up a few of the hands.First off, the QQ vs 77 hand went like this. I had $250, he had upwards of $600 probably. He raised to $24 pf, bb was $2 mind you, I re-raised to $120, he called. LOL. Then the flop came KJJ and I wasn't folding, so I just moved in for the rest and then he called with 77.Then, probably the funniest hand of the night, I completely forgot to write out cause I was so tired. I had AA (vindication), and he again raises, I know I re-raised big, probably to around $30-$40, which he called. The flop sucked nut sack. It came Q89, with two spades. I lead out though and he called big, turn I lead again, for like $100, and he called. At this point I still think I'm in the lead, cause he would have min raised me had he had me beat...on the river, I had like $150 left, and bet $125, now the river was a blank, meaning no flush...but he called anyways...with...Ks6s. K high. $550 pot, for me.LOLOLOLOL.I can't believe I forgot that one.- Jordan

Great job refocusing and getting some money after being down $550...when I play cash games online, I find it very hard to refocus after I want to get back to at someone on the table.

his screenname is "BOOMYA".Every biggish pot he won, he'd say, 'booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom'and then 'ha' 'ha' 'ha' 'ha'and another boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom.I didn't say anything the whole match, except, come on, lets just play.I didnd't say anything back cause I didn't want him to quit me.But after I busted him the last time, I guess some people were watching and started making fun of the guy for me by saying, 'boooooooooooooooooooooooom' back to him. lol.- Jordan
