Running It Twice..deals..?

Recommended Posts

Does anyones local casino allow them to run it twice if both players agree, or do live straddles on NL cash games? My casino wont allow any kind of deals between players, even if 2 of us agree on insurance or something of that sort.

Stradles play most everywhere, I think. It's nothing more than a blind raise.
yeah at every casino i have played at stradles are ok. pluss they have let us make deals. i have never ran it twice but i have given ppl insurance and chopped the pot by odds. like if i have AA and the other guy has KK i take 80% of the pot he takes 20% stuff like that.

Um, yeah that's not correct. Here in KC @ Harrah's you can blind raise but you cannot straddle. There is a difference.A raise in the dark is considered your action in the hand. Unless the hand is subsequently raised your action in the hand is complete.A live stradle on the other hand is not. You have in effect raised the blind levels but have not acted on the hand yet. If someone calls your blind when the action get's to you, you still have live action to raise the hand if you wish. However, Harrah's NKC has chosen not to allow live straddles.

That is how it is here, which I find retarded. Sometimes when I play the 1/2 NL at my local casino I want to stimulate some action because it becomes a limpfest so I try to "straddle" unfortunately they told me in NL games its just a blind raise and I dont get last act which sucks. They also wont let us make any kind of deals at the table, and when I asked the floor about it, he told me its like collusion and that is not allowed (which it is actually nothing like).

Running it twice is most of the time only allowed in bigger NL games. Generally speaking $5-$10 is the minimum for this.

Straddle yes at Seneca Casino Buffalo, NYNo at Turning Stone Resort Syracuseish, NYNever been able to run it twice at either, the biggest game at both is generally 5-10NL. Actually not sure about Turning Stone, but I think that is usually the biggest game going.

Hi,I am from KC also, I know for sure that Isle of Capri allows live straddles. I believe Ameristar as well, I am not sure.. The Isle has the juciest limit game IMO in KC. :club:
