raising pre-flop isn't completely necessary, but i like it, too.if it was six-max, though, and folding over to the SB wasn't uncommon, i would check half the time.calling the flop is completely fine. flush draw, cdddc75.if he's passive, you might raise the flop for a free card, too. if he's aggressive, just call.calling down the check-raise is fine. he would probably do it with some worse flushes, too.aseem

If he's a decently intelligent, he likely doesn't have the ace or king of spades seeing as he limped pre-flop. Thus, you're only really worried about the jack. Seems like a fine call down to me.I might also raise pre-flop. If you raise pre-flop, your chase is more profitable.cdddc is kind of right though...in an unraised pot...the pot's tiny. And, if your opponent happens to have a higher spade, there are reverse implied odds to consider.
