1pistolpete1 0
So, been trying for over 24 hours now and not making me happy. Spend 80 bucks to install the damn thing and it does not work. Lame. Need some help. Here is what happens,I download everything, unzip the files and everything is loaded on to my comp. Even postgressql. Launch holdem manager, get to the connect screen and this happens..."A connection to postgressql could not be made. Would you like holdem manager to start the services."I click yes."Sorry holdem manager was not able to start services."I click ok."Holdem manager has started the service. Please try again."Very confused cause nothing happens here. Anybody?I hope I gave a clear explanation and we can get this up and running. Thanks very much.
Suited_Up 2
Best place for info is probably at their forum...http://www.holdemmanager.net/forum/But a lot of people seem to have trouble with that.
1pistolpete1 0
I was able to figure it out.If anybody is having problems, it may be because windows vista block access to certain things so you need to go to...1)User accounts and family security.2)Turn user account control on or off.3)Uncheck (UAC) to protect computer. This should allow you access to holdem manager. Good Luck all and hope this helps all in my situation.

1pistolpete1 0
Need some help and some advice.First off,I finally got hold'em manager to run and it has been very useful for me. However, now the stats for each player do not correspond with where they are in relation to the table and it just doesn't seem to be working with pokerstars. For example, all the stats work and update every hand, but for the player sitting at seat 4, his stats are over blocking the players image at seat 2. Anybody know if there is a solution to this???Second off,I am using the manager to keep track of how I am doing and I am setting up a goal for myself to go from $10 to $1000. I would like to set up a website to write down how I am doing each day. So far, at the 5/10 cent level I have started from 5 bucks and I am up to 19. Its a start, but I know I can grind it out.Third off,When is it best to move up to the next level. I was thinking that once I got to 30$ in my bank roll I can move up to 10/25. Could use some advice. Much respect.

Additionally...both on stars and in HeM...pick a preferred seat position and make sure they match.HTH
1pistolpete1 0
OK thanks very much.So I feel I do well at this 5/10 cent level. I am currently at 22 after starting with 5 but putting 2 in to play. When should I move to the .25nl level?

ktjb23 0
at about 1000$Pete, that probably sounds like a level to you..but its not. That gives you 40 buy ins. The absolute minimum most thing you should play with is 20 buy ins...so 500 bucks for 25NL.So, lets say, for 25NL..... .25 x 100 = 25. 25 x 20 = 500. Thats really a minimum though..40 buy ins is more comfortable.HTH

I appreciate the feedback. Much respect.BR management is key. For LHE you should have at least 300 BB (big bets) and for NLHE and LHE you should increase your big bets/ buy ins (LHE/NLHE) if youre playing 6max.For Sngs 100 buy ins is advised...some play with 50..and for MTTs at least 100 buy ins. FARGOpokerND 22
Also to add, dont buy in for $2 at a 10nl game...buy in for FULL amounts.Because of that, STOP playing 10nl and drop to 1/2cent for awhile.Or else get more money online.
