Set Up for home Tournaments

Recommended Posts

I been playing at alot of home tournaments lately. I am just curious how you guys set yours up or the ones you go to how they are run. The last one i played all i got was 18 chips(hold'em NL). i did not pay attention to the total suppose value. the blinds were 1 and 2 chips. so i pretty much new this was a quick night.I cant play with that few chips where the blinds doubled every hour, just was silly. have to play more hands than i normally would.so what i like to know what is your starting chip count worth and how many chips roughly. As well how do your blinds work. or what seems to be the norm? Thanks

This is what I've started doing and it works pretty well for us. Each player starts with 2,000 in chips (16 $25 chips, 6 $100 chips and 2 $500 chips).Levels:25-5050-10075-150100-200150-300200-400300-600500-1,0001,000-2,000No rebuys or add-ons. Levels increase every 30 minutes with two decks rotating at each table (one shuffled while the other is dealt) to speed up play.

What I really enjoy is what I was told by this Canadian Pro Poker Player. Each player starts with 10.000 worth of chips(My Set)Whites = 100Reds = 500Blinds Start at 100/200200/400300/600400/800500/1000600/1200800/16001000/20001500/30002000/4000 3000/6000No Re-Buys, No Add-ons. It makes for a quick and entertaining game I find. Try this one you'll enjoy it I guarentee.Take Care,Tyler
