The €25,000 High Roller Event at the Poker Stars EPT Monte Carlo has begun and Daniel is playing. As a formidable opponent he is it's young gun Ronny Kaiser causing Negreanu early problems. The first hand Negreanu min-raised to 400 and Kaiser three-bet him to 1,100 from the next seat. Negreanu called and then check-called a 1,200 bet on the 7♦Q♥2♠ flop. The turn was a scary A♠ for the Canadian as he check-folded to a 3,100 bet. -- MC1.20pm: Could be a long day for NegreanuRonny Kaiser first came to our attention with a very deep run at the recent EPT San Remo. He seemed to have a level of game and composure way above the level expected of any normal 19 year old and he seems totally fearless too. He's certainly coming to the attention of Daniel Negreanu today who is sat to the Swiss' right and suffering for being out of position. Negreanu raised to 400 from the cut-off and was called by Kaiser on the button and John Juanda in the big blind. The flop came down T♣7♣4♠ and Negreanu's c-bet was only called by Kaiser. The turn came Q♣ and Negreanu continued the aggressive line with a 2,200 bet. Kaiser put the pressure on though with a raise to 5,600. Negreanu called to go to the J♠ river where he checked to face 17,800 bet. He folded quickly to leave himself with 41,000. Kaiser up to 60,000. --MC2.50pm: Just plain bullyingDaniel Negreanu and Ronny Kaiser have been at it again. We've witnessed two pots today where the young Swiss has raised Negreanu off hands. At some point Negreanu was going to fight back. He raised to 800 and yet again Kaiser three-bet him, this time to 1,900. Negreanu decided to make a stand and four-bet to 5,800 but Kaiser had one more raise in him and made it 11,900. It did the trick as Negreanu let it go again.Negreanu is doing okay though and maintaining his stack. He's currently on 52,000. We didn't catch all of the action, but we do know that Bari had J J , Negreanu had A K , and Richey had A K .The board came down 2 Q 3 6 Q leaving Bari to take the entire pot, Negreanu's stack was crippled, and Richey hit the rail.
