  1. had not played until tonight... was exhausted from work and kids... played 3 more tonight, had a 16th (bad play cost me my chips), I will post the hand shortly. and a 3rd. Pushed TP and OESD, ran into ignorant end of straight so thus far, I have played 11, cashed in 5, with 2 10-18th, 9th, 5th, and 3rd. not bad so far.
  2. I know bluffing off my chips in that spot was a bad play, i was tired when we got to the money and I have to close that spew leak in my game. It is something I need to improve is my end game. I can pretty consistently get into the money, however I find a lot of times I am average stack at that point at best, mostly I get to the last 20% of players and need to figure out how too steal better. I try to attack the middle stacks like mine but often get caught with a short stack or big stack looking me up. This is where I want to improve, is changing gears at the right spot. \I find the struct
  3. thanks for the comments guys... I dislike NL cash games... or just do not have the confidence to play them right... so i stay away from them. If I build a roll, I will hire a coach to improve.I am staying with the 4.4's because I want to improve my tourny game for the WSOP, deepstacks etc... next year. I played my 2nd 4 tournies and had a 5th. I bluffed off my chips a couple of times once we hit the money (I was in 3rd when we hit the money) and had to grind back... I was really tired, when I was playing, but such is my life (3 kids and busy job) that is how I will be when I play. Overall,
  4. did not get a chance to read the posts yet, but played 4 tonight....9th and 15th.... meh minor profit
  5. Sorry I busted you, I thought you had a draw.... this is usally said after you suck on out on a bad read.... but really you are thankful... not sorry
  6. I have been messing around and playing cards for years... have good runs, and bad ones but now I am getting serious. I have $450 on stars right now have made a decesion to play 100 4.40's by the end of July. i am looking for advice on what strategy to use to make this work. I think playing super tight for the first 3 levels, then continiously opening up as the blinds rise.or Do I play 100 45 man 6.50's? has anybody done this before?Any advice?my biggest winning years were when I focused on Mtt's so I am going back now. thanks is advance
  7. I just got back from Vegas on Monday and the Venetian game is super soft. i didn't read this post before I left or I would have played at least one session at the wynn...Venetian game is super soft....very passive, and some of the hands I saw played aren't even playable in PLO.... 89Q2, 57J3, and crap like that. I am going back in November and staying at the venetian.... but might check out the Wynn game. the Horse games and mixed games at the Venetian were insane easy too... was making 5-8 BB per hour depending on the session.
  8. anyone know how to do this with cash? is he still selling the stuff and is it on sale?
  9. Mr. Desperate can raise alot but not reraise, unless he has a PP or AK... then being desperate is enough to push and pray... but hands that might raise from a desperate player are liable to in the small to mid PP, KJs+ ATs+ AJ+, all of which, so long as he can lay it down (i.e. not online) then the play makes sense... I didn't vote... but I think 7K is too cheap, I call my bogus UTG 87s raise with at this price... I also think the raise needs to equal 2/3rd of pot... and 7,8K into a 12Kpot... is about right... just my thoughts
  10. If Fallsview signs a independant agreement with the WPT then yes they can be the only tournement provider. Think of MacDonald's and thier affiliation with Cola producers... you can only buy one kind of Pop. Is DN Playing the Fallsview event?
  11. My opinion is simple, you don;t like don't sign it... their are lots of other waivers people sign every day... and those don't go to court... unless they are illegal... and the WPPT may be illegal... I don't know... but I think when they(lawsuit) group is representing the "Players" it now gives Daniel the right to state his opinion... he is a "player" isn't he? Educated or not, people form opinions everyday... some informed (Daniel's seems to be) and some not... Phil Gordon;s mp3 cast from the series stated "They could make blow up dolls and sell them in Porn stores across the country and we
  12. First,I discounted AA/KK because I saw him play them 2X and he made a min raise the first time, and flat called the raise the second time... he was in cutoff, and the button, blinds, and Utg were weak tight.... so a regular raise was not neccessary..... with those types of hands.... if he had them, he wouldn't want to scare me out... I did admitt my error was not thinking and leading at the pot... I think I should have lead $50-75 at it... 1/2 to 2/3 I pushedHe calledTurn 4dRiver 7hQQ is good... and so was my read.
  13. 42 comes I hit a straightthe other factor I need to consider is whether I want to risk 1/2 my stack on a race where I am only slightly ahead or wait for better situations where I am a monster not marginal favorite?
  14. I was playing at Awka last night at the 2-4 and had a tight aggressive image. I am UTG +1 ($600 stack) and raise my AsKd to $15 (standard). Folded to another semi-tight aggressive player, who raises to $45. folded back to me. I think and try to play back hands he has played aggressively. I can't remember him re raising anything in the 30-45 minutes we have been playing. I put him on either AJs or better or more likely AK, AA, KK, QQ, JJ or TT, maybe but not likely AQs. I think of re raising to $100, but don't want to over committ on a drawing hand if I am dominated, or racing. I think
