Is Ignoring Jesus On Divorce Breaking The First Commandment?

Recommended Posts

Is ignoring Jesus on divorce breaking the first commandment? What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. In the eyes of Jesus, there was no earthly reason for divorce. This stance was apparently softened by the writers of scripture because of long held Jewish and Roman beliefs and customs where men could divorce their wives for a variety of reasons. Women‘s right to divorce was not in any way as liberal. They are certainly putting their policies above Gods and in this way breaking the first commandment. Are Christians and Catholics who follow Trinitarian thinking going against God’s first commandment by ignoring Jesus’ standards and divorcing their wives? Here is a priest who says that marriage has nothing to do with religion.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-qvOifikAlk...feature=relatedHere is a segment that says marriage has everything to do with religion.

Here is one for fun.

Aw shucks.I tried. I actually laughed more at that stupid Catholic priest If you google the series you will note that he does more than I do to hurt Christianity. The Pope must be scraping the bottom of the barrel.RegardsDL

Ohhhh I had to quote you to see where that image was from. Initially I thought Twin Peaks, but although that dude is dressed like Bob he clearly bears a striking resemblance to John Malkovich.

1) That isn't the first commandment. In fact, it's not in the ten commandments at all.2) The ten commandments are in the Old Testament. "Christ"ianity didn't begin until the New Testament.3) God hates divorce. The New Testament is clear that divorce is only allowed in the case of infidelity. 4) Please show me a link to a poll that says all Christians think divorce is ok.5) I didn't read your post, because you're stupid. (But I did notice the first couple sentences as my scroll wheel was spinning as fast as possible.)6) I don't care about your response, since it will be along the lines of something dismissive followed by a regards.

Yes. The idiot club.RegardsDL
The club of people who don't give a shit about you and your spamming. We all know you do this on 1000 forums, you're not a member of this forum, you don't care about any of us, or engaging any of us in real conversation, all you care about is your obsessive religious trolling, and I find you as odious as I would some street preacher who's harassing me while I'm shopping.

Maybe you guys need a little Christianity in your lives so you'd be less mean towards each other.
Well if your posts are any example, all Christianity would do is spice up my meanness with a helping of smugness.

I always click on threads where BigD has posted. Always. Then stupidity crossed my eyesight, and I felt like correcting a few of the many errors.

I never thought of this. I post on three forums total. One of which is basically the same as here. The other is a sports team one and I think I have 100 posts in 5 years.I didn't realize people go looking for random forums that they don't have an interest in the topic of the forum, just to troll their thoughts. But that does make a lot more sense.

found it...http://www.fullcontactpoker.com/poker-foru...howtopic=142934

I don't think he is an alter-ego of someone here. At least, he's been doing this account for several years elsewhere, including since 2007 on the james randi forums: http://forums.randi.org/showthread.php?t=178338&page=2since 2008 on city-data.com: http://www.city-data.com/forum/members/gre...-am-462168.htmlAnd elsewhere under different id's but same M.O.. His myspace page was not created too recently. That said, he is definitely a professional troll. He posted the exact same thread on many different forums:http://www.fullcontactpoker.com/poker-foru...howtopic=142953http://www.ephilosopher.com/philosophy-for...-trinitarians./http://www.webmaster-talk.com/politics-and...initarians.htmlhttp://forums.randi.org/showthread.php?t=180238http://www.ex-christian.net/index.php?/top...r-trinitarians/http://www.godlikeproductions.com/forum1/message1130485/pg1http://www.offtopicz.com/showthread.php?t=64722http://www.thoughts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=40076http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/forum...186006&st=0http://community.history.com/reply/184027/...initarians.htmlhttp://forum.philosophynow.org/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=4537http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?p=7650172http://www.city-data.com/forum/religion-ph...initarians.htmlhttp://www.belowtopsecret.com/forum/thread592838/pg1http://www.theforumsite.com/forum/topic/A-...rians-/403178/0http://forums.myspace.com/t/4809225.aspx?f...amp;SortOrder=0This is... pathological. I haven't even collected them all. This guy is a machine. Grounds for ban?
If this forum was still moderated, or the mods were worth a shit, this guy would be banned. Hilarious posters like ryland get banned, and this guy gets to spam
