did i do the right thing?

I experienced a hand that set me on tilt the other day and I wanted to run it by you guys to see what you thought. I have only been playing poker for about one year. I still struggle with making descions but for the most part I play and have a great time doing it. The other day on Poker Stars I am at a $1 $2 NL table. I started catching cards and playing well. I took a big chunk of money from a loose player who called all of my raisees holding AA against my strait. At the end of the hand he seemed dumbfounded as to why he lost. I tell that story because here is what happened next. Six person table. A loose player bets a small raise before the flop. I am in late position holding QQ. I reraise with significant money. Everyone around the table folds and loose player thinks for a bit before he goes all in. I put him on high cards and I call $200.00; the most money I have ever bet in my life. Cards get turned over and sure enough he has AK. I am thrilled knowing I am the favorite..........until the flop. The flop shows AKT. My heart sinks as the turn and river reveal trash cards. I loose. My question is.....I really feel like I played that hand correctly. I had the correct read and got my money in. Is this true or did I not play this right. It really got me down for a while as I don't play for that much money often. Any responses I appreciate. DJ
