  1. Early in a tournament in the online game I am basically playing a more standard style allmost a cash game style given the pots get big fast and I don't have implied odds to not 3 bet AA and I have to get value early. But once I get deep stacked and antes are invloved I am opening up so many pots like 2.3x. A tourney I took 4 th in I ran @ 35/30/4. So I was opening up alot of hands and peeling more than 3 betting in position. But ya adjusting to different stages and variables dictates your play.I remember when Daniel played the Poker Superstar Invitational I remember he gave a reason why he wa
  2. Sigh. When people say small ball is for deepstacked tourneys. Thats kind of general. Its also about knowing your relative hand strength vs his stack size and range. Heres an example you have 5OObbs and a massive stack and you are on the button with 6c7c, A perfect small ball hand. You look over and the BB has 8 BB's and is shippin Kx+. So you decide to fold given that you have 7 high and since he is short stacked you need immeadiate showdown value and can't show a profit in this spot by raising . But If you are in the same spot and the BB has 300BBs. You are opening up 100% of the time beca
  3. I get what your saying, Can I play small ball on line? I don't know if Daniel will agree with this But IMO small ball is just taking all the given variable and factors into consideraton when making a choice @ a poker table. Understanding Stack size, relative hand strength, position, villians calling/raising/ value ranges, pot size etc. You watch Junglen play and he uses small ball concepts in a way like when he opens for 2.6x @ one level then 2.5 x @ the next. Small ball is just about making profitable choices in good spots and under standing his hand range, stack size, board texture, t
  4. looking forward to watching all the new stuff and getting ready to play some live MTT's in VEGAS. Played a 2 dollar tourney on stars my first MTT in the last two months took in the top 100 out or 850 not bad! My last MTT I played I took 41st ish in a 5 dollar rebuy out of 1500 on stars. So the proof is in the results guys.I have been playing only NL cash the last 3 or 4 months So just from learning what I did over summer I can still win in MTT's not being sharp. No tourney succes before pvt, Now I can enter a tourny rusty and go deep. But point being I'm going to vegas to visit a buddy and p
  5. Paul glad to hear about your success in NL cash as you can see it can be highly profitable. But I think you will develop more as you play and will recognize spots that you want to get money in the pots fast. Like you said in tourneys you are way too aggro to sit @ the cash tables, but I am sure the first time you played a tourney you werent too aggro. So I think you probably developed into a more aggro player that regognizes good spots for aggression. Once your roll is deep enough @ NL cash and as you gain experience playing the cash tables. Like spots where your opponents hand is obvious an
  6. Winning @ poker has just as much to do with how well you manage your money play tilt free and never let money effect good decision making. Playing responsibly under good conditions(not tired, distracted, rushed) is equally as important as making good choices @ the poker table. I have a friend who plays 200 NL and was running so bad and flopped bottom two pair HU and got c/r all in on the turn. Instead of calling and hoping to get less stuck he simply went into pokerstove input his hand , the board, and the range of his opponent, did some EV calcs. Realized the guy was never blufing in the spot
  7. Rayen not to be to rude but your thinking about playing NL cash is not going to win in the long run. AK pf for 100 BB's Online is essentially the nuts. For a bunch of factors. And min raising is just not a good strategy. I would say I use some small ball concepts in my cash game but cash is just different. Watch boosted J's vids.I would really study some cash game theory before risking money. Small ball is mainly for tourneys. Also I would say that your strategy of min raising would be better if you were playing @ a deep stacked table but there are some good online players that will just expl
  8. Adam how legit would a pokervt logo table look with the stars hypersimple theme, to go along with pokervt logo cards. Would be pretty sweet IMO. What about suggesting Fozzy from 2p2 to Daniel he would probably have it done in about a day!
  9. online is tought to play SB. I think you can use concepts but a more standard game especially early is best IMO. This is becaus stacks just arent that deep so your implied odds just arent there and that is what SB relies on. but things like making smaller bets and checking back for pot control when you most likely have the best hand are things that you can definetly impiment. But look adjust your game based on stack size, position, and villians range for whatever he is doing and you will thrive in online play. develop and intuition and feel for the given variables and you will thrive. those
  10. what do the pvt members and coaches think of these ideas to improve the site?
  11. With something like PVT people like to feel connected to the product so offering maybe some table mods with the PVT logo would be a great idea. I think it would look cool with the hypersimple background personally. Shooting the vids with the background looks super professional as well. Full tilt you can mod the racetrack or regular table background. Also poker vt card mods that have PVT backs would be amazing IMO and will give people a little extra incentive to feel connected with the product. Also Daniel I am telling you people want/need individual sections and vids for specific cash game
  12. Paul I also have had tourney success since poker vt and some cash game success as well. My cash profits have gone way up since deucescracked but its only a cashgame site for the most part. But I think I have played only 2 MTTs in the last month and I final tabled one and took 34th or something like that out of 700+. I am going to get get back to MTT's once my roll is deeper but because of PVT, Daniel, and Adams knowledge of the game I truly feel I am a threat in any MTT I sit down in. My overall success, 1 win 4 final tables and numerous deep cashes out of probably like 25 multi table tourney
