Boosted J's vids have made it so much easier to spot bad players online. I have played live so much more and have such a better instinct and you can just tell by how a person handles them self to go along with their actions they are a sucker. But since watching all boosted J's vids spotting the people I really go after happens much faster, like in the first round of betting or two. I used to be able to find them but it would take longer. Now I look for a couple things and start exploiting, and it gives you a better idea the types of guys you dont mind stacking off against in a decent spot.

BoostedJ plays great but in my opinion there is too much silence in the videos. He should talk a little bit more about hands and the plays of other guys on the table.
I've mentioned similar - he seems a sick player, i'd just love to hear more from him during the vids on allsorts... tbh I think he needs to get his head into that of a n00b and talk about *everything* a novice onwards needs to be taught, way too much dead air where all kindsa things could be being discussed.I'd be happy to help and provide a list of things ppl in my situation (going from casual player to wanting to grind up and slowly make some money from poker) if it'd help

Hi, good to hear feedback. I agree I have been too silent as I'm a little lost on what else to say. Some input from you guys would be great as to what you guys would want to hear. I plan on doing a video today. Let me know what you guys want and I will try my absolute best to make it happen as making PokerVT better is what it's all about!

Hey Justin,Cheers for not takin it the wrong way :)Well i've been grinding 10NL for about 2months ish now - i've got and use pokertracker. I've got my idea on ranges to play in which positions etc, but that may be worth reiterating for others starting. Whilst i'm looking to improve i'd love to know things about how you play marginal hands OOP, as my non-showdown losses are too big at the moment so I must have leaks somewhere. Things like:What to do when you flop middle/bottom pair from the blindsHow to play low/mid PP's OOP (and what kind of hands you'd limp behind an initial raise, as I think that may be a leak)Suited Connectors and who you'd play them againstAs i'm looking to increase the BR and move up to 25NL I've read that 3betting pre-flop happens alot more at those stakes, particularly with regulars, so what you do to get round that, 3betting ranges and any differences between the stake levels. Would you ever 4-bet light etcAnother section would be good on when to let go of TPTK or even overpair hands and how to play themAnything on timing tells, common leaks for n00bs, how you put someone on a range based on PT stats, or any general PT stuff you find very usefulEven anything on how you got started, how you built your BR, at what point would you take a shot at the next level, and if you did, what did you do to prepare: datamine, research on differences.Anything on specific hands as/when you're playing them, like - i'm folding, but i'd call if: (villain bet less, i had X kicker, hand was more of a draw etc etc) What flops textures/opponents you'd look to c/raise against and why/ways of extracting max valueI'll happily record a session, or provide HH's if you wanna do something on n00b errors, or for people looking to move upwards from break-even playIf you wanted to do a 'BoostedJ mentors an idiot from sucking to winning' series i'm sure I could be persuaded, purely for the benefit of others you understand.... :club:

Hey Giggidy,I will be using your post as a reference when I do my next few videos as for things to talk about. Everyone else is also welcome to throw in their input and request me to talk about things. Some of your ideas stimulated a few thoughts that I could turn into useful strategy talk. Hopefully this will help you guys a lot.

Schweet! :club::ts Any ideas on release date, or d'you not have control over that? One thing that's really helped me recently was learning about table selection/buddy lists, so that may be worth a mention for others too. For me, the thing i'm looking to improve on the most at present is the marginal hands/stopping any leaks that are common for new-ish grinders

Hey justin after watching your vids I killed the .05/.1 Nl and .1./.25 NL games on tilt MY BR is only was only 500 and after two weeks I ran it up to 1K. I had a couple really unlucky sessions and slipped down to about 900. I mean I lost with top set to a gutshot that shoved into me and and one check raised shoved into me. AA vs 72 overcaller flops full just sickening things like that. But did you expierience this at the lower limits. Could you talk about also the things you look for and how to exploit it. The biggest thing I have found that helps is who I am ok to stack off against.

Also this is not about the vids but what was your bankroll progression like coming up. I made about 10 K playing 100 Nl live over 2yrs but had to dump it on school is that slow fast normal? I really want to do something with poker after college and I think I make some really good money also considering I have never played tourney's and I am learning the nuiances of those. I am also adjusting to playing online because like i said i played live so I am much better at reading and figuring out the best way to get people comfortable to not bluff me or make loose calls. That s why I asked about exploiting online players who make mistakes.Just basically any advice how you came up starting small would be amazing.

It's true. Boosted J wasn't like a "real" nickname. But some of my car friends used to joke around and call me that, because I had boosted(turbo) cars.
