when a donkey gets the better of you - just laugh!

Recommended Posts

I posted this same topic in the online poker forum - but thought everyone would enjoy this story!I have been playing online for a long time now but I have to say I have never seen more of a donkey than I saw last night . . . and he got the better of me! I join a .50/1 table with my usual $100 buy-in. (I actually multi-table and had 4 going but this table was something else). Within a few hands I realize that I have a maniac sitting across from me. He raised every pot. Not every other hand or the occassional raise . . . but every single hand he raised anywhere from 4-20 times the big blind!! The problem was that everyone was folding t0 the guy. He had about $325 in front of him. Well I won a few small pots and had about $140. I get AA in the small blind. In first position this guy raises to $5. There are 2 callers so I basically want to take down this pot or isolate to atleast one other hand for the flop. I raise to $30. Back to him and he goes all-in. Everyone folds . . . and of course I call. Cards come out 2 7 J . . . J . . . 9 (suits not important). Cards flip up and the guy shows 10 J off. I'm not one to complain about getting my aces cracked but I can't believe this guy would push me all-in after a strong re-raise like that. Did he think I was bluffing??? Who knows. I just laughed at bought back in for another $100. What happened next was the absolutely amazing part. With my $100 he now has $425+. He continued his wild play and people were getting tired of it and started calling his insane bets. (He would bet $100 on every 3rd or 4th flop no matter what he had). Well needless to say he went bust for the $425+. Then he bought back in for another $100 . . . and went bust. Then another $100 and went bust. Then another $100 and went bust. And yes . . . another $100 and went bust. The last $100 was extremely funny because he went all-in for 13 straight hands stealing basically the $1.50 blinds before someone with QQ finally called and knocked him out with his 5 10 off. THEN he sat there for 15 minutes and was having it out with the guy for his "bad call" . . . and "how could he call $100+ pre-flop with only queens". Anyway . . . thought you guys could use an interesting donkey story.
