SpeedKills 0
Thinking about having a FCP NCAA pool. If you guys are in we can either do this for money or just for the fun of it. We will run it off of one of the big sites such as Yahoo or CBSsportsline. Let me know what you guys think and if we want to do it with money we can just do money transfers on PokerStars. I've been around quite a while and have played with quite a few players on here, so you guys should know I'm not shady and would do anyhting. Let me know what you guys think and if not we can just do it for bragging rights.
HoosierAlum 0
I think we should have it as a bigger buy-in...like $50. If you take my money I will hunt you down

HoosierAlum 0
Well, $20 min, anything less is pointless.

KDawgCometh 2
I wish to god we had a fee last year. I pwned the entire thing. We did it on yahoo, I'm down again
WVUCarter 0
Just curious but do you have a full tilt account? I would be interested in the pool but only play on there and not sure how I'd transfer on poker stars. Thanks.
iggymcfly 0
I'd totally be in if we do it for $50. I can only transfer money from Party right now and that's the minimum amount you can do from there. I've been kind of thinking of opening up a Stars account, but before I do that I need to open up a new bank account where I'm at now, and a Netteller account (still don't have one), so the whole thing would kind of be a mess. If it's less than $50, I still might try to find some way to do it though.Could be dangerous if it gets too big though. If there gets to be over $1000 in there, it might be hard to find someone who values their message board reputation more than the money.I was thinking, a site like Bodog should really open up custom NCAA pools where you set up the point structure and the number of people and they distribute the money. Everybody wants to be an office pool even if they don't have people around who wants to play for a decent amount of money, and I doubt there would be much objection to the site taking 10% or so. mk 11
I'm not sure about this, but isn't there a way to have the prize pool on whatever site you're using, like Yahoo or Sportsline? I've never done one of the big ones, but don't they have giant contests where people just use their credit card or whatever?
iggymcfly 0
I really doubt that sites run by major US-based media outlets help organize what is technically "illegal sports betting". I could be wrong, but I can't imagine they'd take that risk. That's why I was suggesting Bodog. They're a foreign sportsbook that focuses on American recreational gamblers, so I'd imagine that this would be perfect for them.
yeffy 0
I'd be in. Stars would be best as you can transfer ammounts under $50 and there are no fees. I like the sportsline bracket manager too if we're taking votes on that.
Pokergolf 0
why dont we just send the money to daniel, i am sure he can hold it for usFor those of us that don't have a stars account but want to play, is there another way of doing this? I would trust one of the mods holding the cash, or can somebody suggest a cash holder who would be trustworthy? My two cents.
econ_tim 0
i'm down for a poolwe should set it up on a sports website so it's easy to managekeith mentioned yahoo! and CBSsportsline also runs private bracket poolsedit: i failed to read the OP, which mentioned both of these options
SpeedKills 0
If we did it on one of the sites I'm pretty sure they charge about a 20% fee. We can do transfers on Pokerstars the easiest, so if you dont have a pokerstars account try and find someone who would trade you money on there for a different site. Right now it looks like the majority of people want to play for between 20 and 50, so I'll set up a pole to see what everyone wants to do.Only people that are serious do this please. Wandigo 1
I'm down for $20, but only have money at my crazypoker account, and I don't think it transfers anywhere from there.
champsox 0
I'm in. 20 or 25 would be best. I have money on Full Tilt and Absoulte, but I suppose I could get a friend from Stars to trade. Anybody know how much time we'll have to make our picks though, because the draw is tonight at 7 and I believe they start tomorrow afternoon.

turd ferguson 1
How exactly does this work? Does everyone just pick who they think will win at the beginning of the tourney, and the winner gets all the mobney? I don't really care either way. I'm always down to gamble on something. I vote for $50.
