  2. Congrats everyone who got in.....nice to see everyone jump on the Steel bandwagon!
  3. Looks like my early speculation was wrong. The Wire Act appears to cover any type of communication.[A]ny and all instrumentalities, personnel, and services (among other things, the receipt, forwarding, or delivery of communications) used or useful in the transmission of writings, signs, pictures, and sounds of all kinds by aid of wire, cable, or other like connection between the points of origin and reception of such transmission.[65]
  4. How does the law differentiate between telephone lines & cable or satellite lines? Because all internet connections in the US go through 7 main hubs on OC3 lines, can one infer that all internet connections go through telephone lines? Or alternatively, could one say that by using cable, satellite or wifi that they did not use telephone lines which are named in the law? Interesting technicality maybe one of the law students or attorneys could answer.
  5. nh....gotta love jeopardy SNL style
  6. So basically you're saying that WPTE wants to ruin online poker for Americans? Because the group of 7's claim was to open up the language of the release & open casino's that host WPT events to other televised events.....not to ruin online poker. I guess all of my fellow American's should thank the WPTE (and you) for trying to "force" us into the B & M cardrooms to support Lyle & his fellow casino owners.Read the lawsuit. It doesn't state any claim regarding online poker. The losses they claim are not from endorsements or investments, they are tourney winnings. IMO what the W
  7. Seeing it spelled out like this made me fall out of my chair...no idea why but thanks for the ache in my side
  8. Thanks Capt....that's exactly what I'm thinking...probably I tend to recognize the need to be cautious w/ AQ but not AK
  9. 90% might be a bit high (but overall agressively yes)....depending on position of course AQ will get folded facing 2 raises more than AK so I can see how the % would skew a little more favorable, but 15-20% seems rather large difference to me
  10. Looking for comparison for any database users who are willing to share.Last night I was going through the hand values in relation to % won the hand (SD or not). Interestingly I found that these results in my case:AKs 33 times - win % 66.7AK 172 times - win % 59.8AQs 40 times - win % 75AQ 187 times - win % 81.8First off, let me state that this only encompasses 11482 hands so I don't consider this definitive and I know a lot of variables come into play with aggression factor street folded or called etc. but I 'd be interested to see some of the other tracker users post their result
  11. The Ron_Mexico Purple Rain posts hereDuring the webcast of the protege, the what happened to Jerry? posts were hilarious & the Ali bashing.
  12. Damn tough day if it takes $10k to even out......GL
  13. Not being a lawyer, I won't presume to know anything; but for entertainment purposes only I would think a competent lawyer wouldn't have a very difficult time convincing a court that business conducted in cyberspace is not "in the US" even if the customer originated from the US. One could argue that advertising in the US constitutes conducting business, but since the DOJ seized the advertising funds for one online site from Discovery channel, all commercials refer to the .net site, not the gambling site.Furthermore, and please correct me if I'm wrong, haven't US corporations set up shells
  14. Additional info to do with as you please.WPTE is a publicly traded company. It launched at $9.15/ share. In June '05 it reached it's all time high at $23.88/ share. Yesterday it opened at $3.77 and closed at $3.81/ share. The current price represents a little more than 1/6th the all time high & 1/3rd it's original price at opening. If someone had a friend who suggested they invest say $100,000 at launch, that same $100,000 would have reached over $260,000 a year ago only to fall to just over $40,000 right now.One could speculate that any famous personalities who invested in the compan
