  1. I'm in the same boat... and when I get a boat, someone has quads. Funny thing is, it's not just online. I've lost 10 sessions in a row online at $20 a pop (cash and tourneys). Over this past weekend in our home games, I lost another $200 in cash and tourneys! Even my friends were saying how I couldn't win a race or coin flip to save my life. I felt like Daniel on HSP when he'd flop the nuts and get outdrawn over and over. I don't know what to do about it. I want to become a better player, so how do you overcome this? I even waited to flop the nuts, and got it all in... against a set.
  2. It's just after 2am, and tonight's Poker After Dark is a RE-RUN!?!?!? According to wikipedia, it's supposed to be Chad Brown, Mike Sexton and Gabe Kaplin or something... Am I missing something here??
  3. We start our games with $5k in chips ($6k if you show up on time). Our games take about 4 hours. We play with antes, which allows for a slower blind schedule, but encourages action. Our blind schedule is here: fish n chips poker. chips denominations: $25/ $100/ $500/ $1000
  4. I agree, Daniel being in the booth, along with the editing that may have taken place, really plunge the needle deep into Mike. However, does anyone remember Mike fanning Shieky with his own bills?? Mike also put a bounty on Sean's head- $1k to any dealer that felted him. I love watching these guys needle... throw Helmuth in the mix, and the fireworks are so fun to watch. The #1 rule of needling- you have to be able to take it if you can dish it out.
  5. Even though the processor is an Intel, it's still running the Mac OS...In other words, you need to be running windows on the macbook to run any windows software. I think I've seen a forum post somewhere that they are developing a mac version for us to use... but until then...
  6. PLEASE!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?I sure hope so. That's the 1 thing that I really want to see happen. FTP is the only other option, but I prefer FCP.
  7. Oh... since I said "raise", they made me put in a min raise. Forgot that.
  8. This happened the other night at a home tourney. What would YOUR ruling be?Action folded to me in middle position. I announced "raise", then put out enough chips to exactly cover the BB. I then went back for chips as I decided how much to raise. OK... I know that I can't say, "I'll call your... and raise you..." but I announced raise.I know that had I put in any more than the BB, I would not be allowed to add to that, but I put in exactly the BB, so it was obvious that I was still contemplating how much to raise. At no point did I announce how much my raise would be. I was promptly scolde
  9. Basic scenario- I want to cash out $600 from FCP and deposit it over at Full Tilt to get their 100% bonus. As soon as I deposit it there, does anyone know if it will jepordize the bonus if I immediately cash some of it back out and deposit it back into FCP to receive the current reload bonus here?I just wondered if anyone has tried anything like this before, or used Full Tilt as well. Thanks!MM
  10. I love this program. It's free to use, and if you really want to get into the nitty gritty stuff, it's only $3.33/ month for added features. Comes pre-loaded w/ blinds, and lets you create your own, and even has a wizard for creating a blind schedule based on chips/ players/ time/ etc.Dr. Neau: Check It Out
  11. I guess my bigger question was the betting. Let me throw out an example-PL Omaha. Blinds $5/ $10Before the cards are dealt, $15 is in the pot. 1st player into the pot can call $10, or raise... how much? Do they call the $10 (putting the pot at $25), then raise $25 more (the pot)? Or do they raise the pot of $15? How about a re-raise after that? I get confused so fast!Next is limit. I think I understand that, but I want to make sure. Again, $5/ $10 blinds. Is that a $5/ $10 game or $10/ $20 game?Obviously, $15 in the pot before cards fly. 1st player can call $10 or raise to $20, righ
  12. So Friday I'm going to have some guys over to play HORSE. I want to learn some new games. I have a few questions though. In HORSE, can you have NO LIMIT Hold Em, then POT LIMIT Omaha, LIMIT Razz, etc. or is it all Limit?Next question is the betting structure for limit and pot-limit games. I've not been able to find an easy answer.Say it's a $5/ $10 LIMIT game. I assume hold em and omaha have the same structure. What are the blinds, and how big or often can you raise? Are there 2 options for betting ($5 or $10)? If someone bets $5, can I raise $10 MORE? What about pre-flop, post-flop, a
  13. I know you're sick of the questions... "Are you going to add... to the store?"But here it goes...Are you going to add the DN Video or Stacked game to the store? Thanks!
  14. Has anyone used a site that offers credit towards merchandise by signing up with a poker site? I've seen threecheetahs.com and also discountcasinogear.com. Just wondering.
  15. Gotta love the live updates from cardplayer.com. :)"Sit-N-Share"?
